Wonderful Puzzle!!! The instructions are not the greatest but the pieces are marked but some you will have to figure out yourself what they are by the shape in the instructions. Very solid, almost no issues with pushing in the pieces. Just be careful when popping out the parts from their frames. Thank goodness the clock part is easy, putting on the hands. I have had not decent success with other clock puzzles. So I dolled this up. The only major flaw is the rear battery cover on the back of the clock. It was a nightmare trying to get the piece inserted. They should come up with a hinge of some sort. I had to drill 2 holes and glue in metal inserts to help get this piece to work. (The insert pieces are actually little capsules that fit on the collars of a cat, with the top that twisst off and usually a little paper is in it. I used just the tops). The closk works nicely. Also when putting in the battery make sure you push the negative end in first. It is very tight.

The wooden pieces fit together well and the movement is smooth and satisfying to watch. It has built in LED lights nice touch. It is challenging to build. This is a perfect gift for anyone who likes models. I got this for my adult nephew.

The puzzle clock was a fun enough build. It took about an hour with only one slight misstep. Since it was dark on dark for the hands and face, and was going to go in a place that didn't have the best illumination, I added some gold gilding to the face (latex paint), making the hands stand out a lot better. I only did the inner dial, but i may take it apart again and do more that includes the numbers. So far, the inner face is enough to see what the time is so that's not a burning need. Merely one of aesthetics. The pieces were easy enough to remove once the trick was found (break them out from behind, pressing back to front to remove from the front side). Some sanding was needed for some of the tabs on the edges. And a #11 X-acto blade (or #11 scalpel, which is the same thing) carefully applied to the tabs that hold the pieces together from the front facilitates clean separations. The instructions are virtually entirely visual so attention to orientation and the detailing are vital to get things right. Followed exactly, the clock goes together exactly. The cuts are tight and fit well, with some persuasion involved with some of them (I have a very light, flat-faced tap hammer I use for engraving that worked nicely to fit the parts firmly together). The paint took longer to dry that it took to actually assemble the clock. The clock itself is silent, and it seems to keep good time (which isn't saying a lot since I only finished that yesterday, but it hasn't gained or lost any time that I can tell). It is kind of fragile, so it may be worth the effort to add some superglue to the parts that go together to add some extra grip there. Don't do that for the back, since you'll need to change the battery eventually. Now the thing I didn't especially like was that it seems to have a printed design on a thin plastic-like sheet glued to the wood. The wood isn't stained that I can tell, and the sheet was lased with the designs the wood would have. But stain would have been a much more appealing aesthetic. That said, you need to look REALLY carefully at it to tell that it's NOT stained and varnished. How it holds up over time remains to be seen. I would recommend this to a friend. For what you get, it's functional and decent looking, with a bit of added fun in actually assembling the bits. So I'd say it's a good value. 4 stars with one taken off for the thin coating it has. I'd have preferred naked wood that I could stain and varnish myself, but it's serviceable as it is, assuming the coating it has is as durable as the staining and varnishing would have been.

OWNONE1 really has a nice little kit here. It only took me about a half hour to build. The instructions are very simple pictures showing the aligning tabs and slot with matching numbers. I'm used to building models and carefully removing the parts from frames or sprues. The parts of this clock are laser cut. Even though the thickness of the laminated wood makes it fairy sturdy, extreme care should still be taken when removing the parts from the frames. There are a lot of fine filigree cuts than can break all the way through. One of the pictures is of a part of the instruction sheet, showing step 6, where 5C is being attached to the back of the face. This is the only piece that I found that didn't fit very tightly and really couldn't figure out what it did. It doesn't connect or even touch any other part of the clock and kept falling out. So, I just put it on the shelf with the clock. Maybe I will learn of it's purpose later. This kit was designed to be built without any glue. And, it works well. But, I imagine that if you looked at how it went together and carefully used small amounts of the right glue, you could make this assembly more permanent. Anyone who has ever built intricate plastic models could do that very easily. The finished product is very nice in appearance. I wasn't sure that the clear plastic face cover would be very good. But, it is, crystal clear, sturdy and a perfect fit. So, I really like this kit. I wouldn't call it a puzzle. Puzzles don't usually come with step by step instructions on how to assemble them. But, it gets five stars for the quality, materials and results.

fun and easy to follow instructions looks great

The puzzle arrived in good condition with adequate instructions. Some sections worked but the stair case is a total failure. When totalyassembled nothing is able to move. All baskets are locked together and the crank can not move them. Something totally wrong in the measuring or wood expansion. Do not get this one.

I give this product a 4 start rating as it looks great is somewhat easy to push pieces out. Just be careful while assembling the pieces together as I started to use a little too much force and bent one of the side curly bits almost off. Adult suppervission for 8 - 10 year olds and be ready for a few tears and handy with the craft glue in case of breaks. Other then that I failed to get the clock to sit still so the hands get slighly moved ever so slightly if it gets bumbed. ( there for not accurate but what clock is).
