Review: Great for summer woods/yard work - Update 10/29/2023 - 4.5 stars and almost 3000 reviews. Mine are still in decent shape after 3 years and I'd buy another pair if I could get them in my size. Columbia needs to stay with this boot and give a few tweaks (tweaks not changes). It's got great features that few other hikers have. These boots can handle abrasion and abuse well. It runs a lttle too narrow in the toe and needs some updated colors (like maybe a light tan or something), but they are a great all round lightweight boot to wear for working in the yard or wandering around in the woods. I got these boots for lightweight summer wear. I live in woods and normally prefer an all leather option. The cloth in these boots looks and feels light a heavy canvas and and holds up well to normal abuse from yard work and moving around in brush. They don't breathe well but, I have never worried about that with boots anyway. If you working outside in warm weather your feet are going to sweat. It doesn't snag or allow sticks to get caught up and doesn't allow dust and dirt through. These aren't work boots and I don't know how durable they would be for a landscaper or someone working full time in the outdoors but, for casual use mine are holding up great. Moderately firm sole but not hard with some cushion. Other than a very tight toebox I have no complaints. I normally wear an 11 1/2 and the 12's I ended up returning for are a little snug. So size up and get wide if you have doubts. I am glad I found these and hope Columbia keeps making them. Great summer boots and probably 3 season as well. Mine have been going over a year and don't show much wear at all. For the price I wouldn't feel bad replacing them every year if I used them daily. Review: Great boot! - I loved this boot since I first put it on, no break in was needed, they felt great, I’m a size 12 and I bought size 12, but I felt it was a bit dorky looking for my office job. I was looking for a waterproof shoe because I hated getting my feet or shoes wet during the summer season in Florida. Only when I switched jobs and started to do more heavy lifting did I take these boots out of the closet. It’s helped me with my work so much! Not only did they help me with adjusting crates on a dolly but when our pneumatics shop flooded is when I put it to the test! I put my feet in the water fully submerged and water NEVER seeped through! I still have these boots but they’ve begun to fall apart after using them day in and day out. I wanted another pair but desertcart is no longer selling my size. The only bad thing about this boot is that it doesn’t allow air flow, and my feet sweat real bad, so naturally this shoe started to stink badly… I wish I could buy this very same pair regardless. I’m sad to see them go. The best boots I’ve ever owned.

Great for summer woods/yard work

Great boot!

Great overall, but runs small and fits snug
Update: I took these hiking on a “hard” 26 mile backpacking trip. Although they are a tad short it wasn’t really a problem. I would rate these boots for a medium difficulty trail; a hard trail is a little too much because they flex a lot compared to more rugged boots. Having said that, these impressed me! They are comfortable and lightweight. They held up well even though there was a lot of rain, mud, uneven granite, and other types of terrain. ——— Original review: I got mine and have worn them a few times. They are definitely a half size short. I read reviews saying that, but a half size up wasn’t available so I took a risk. Everything is fine until I walk down a hill; I can feel my toes hitting the front. Overall, the fit is snug — more snug than I was expecting. It’s very supportive, but also I had to skip the top lace hooks. It was too tight at the top. By skipping it is more comfortable. The boots are kinda warm, maybe because the waterproofing is not very breathable, but I’m glad to have the waterproofing. The tread is very solid and supportive; I feel like I could hike on rocky trails and my feet would be protected. Overall I like them and have decided to keep them. Hopefully they will stretch a little over time.

Insanely good
Extremely good, can't believe the value. Truly waterproof. Purchased these to replace a much more expensive set of hiking boots I had. These are over 50% less than the other ones I had, but function just as well. Yes they are waterproof. I wear these for my daily walks on lunch at work, and was brave enough to walk through a puddle with only dress socks underneath and I was still bone dry. Great for hikes in snow as well. Grips are very good. Don't expect traction as if you had spikes, but they will definitely help keep you upright in slippery conditions. I use these mostly for trail walking through woods in SE Michigan and they are perfect for that. Tough enough for rough conditions, and so comfortable to wear! No rubbing and I can go 5 miles with no issues. Columbia is a great brand, and came through for me once again.

Hard to beat waterproof boots at a great price!
These are really great boots! I normally wear a 9.5 and ordered a 10 which fits perfectly so I'd say they fit roughly a half size larger than what you'd normally wear. As some others have said they are a little warm compared to other non-waterproof boots. As far as I can tell they are waterproof as claimed. They may not be optimal in warmer weather but in the winter/fall in the midwest they're basically perfect. Very high quality all around. I walk about a mile to and from the train each day and have had some flares of mild plantar fasciitis with many different pairs of shoes. These boots offer great support and my feet are 100% pain free! For those that said these run narrow... I don't agree at all.

Good quality and have held up well
I purchased these boots for some light hiking in Colorado while on vacation and they worked out well. Since then I've worn them to walk nature trails and streets at home. They have good tread and appear to be well-made and have held up well. They are pretty comfortable although the top is kind of tight around my ankle when laced all the way. However, that may be a good thing to provide support. The only real complaint I have is that the toe area is a little too tight but it was only something I noticed while coming back down sloping trails where I had to step down and place weight on the toe area. Going up the trail was no problem though.

Comfortable, mid boot, warm boot, cold weather boot.
Normally I’am a size 12 but somehow my feet are getting bigger and now I’am a size 13. I had to return these boots and I bought a size 13 at the local Big 5 sporting goods who also had these boots in stock. They are warm inside, so I recommend using them in cold weather. They fit me great and are comfortable to wear. I had to replace the inside padding and got one with arch support. But after awhile my feet get tired of using them and walking on them. They are good and they offer support for hills, or mountains hill climbing.

Field Test: Buy them.
Have had these boots for about a month, and used them on a variety of terrain. They are perfect. I just finished a half-day slog under load in pouring rain on a flooded two-track, with water flowing over the road. My feet stayed dry and comfortable throughout. They are the perfect balance between lightweight trail-runners and heavy leather hiking boots. They show no signs of wear after a hard month, and they feel really solid. I rounded up a half-size, and the fit is perfect. The lacing system allows you to snug them up or leave them loose to accommodate heavy socks. Looking forward to using them in snow. I'm really glad I chose these. Great boots at a great price point.

Muy Cómodos
Muy cómodos y súper resistentes al agua, los pies se mantienen realmente secos, lastima que la suela se despega muy rápido ya los he pegado varias veces y se siguen despegando pero aún así duran mucho llevo dos años con ellos.
