Simple, Portable, and Great for Creative Projects
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The KODAK Mini 2 Retro portable photo printer has been such a fun addition for printing memories instantly from my phone. Setup was quick and straightforward—connecting via Bluetooth took only a minute, and the app is easy to navigate even for first-time users. The print quality is surprisingly good for such a small device. The photos have that classic, slightly nostalgic look with decent color accuracy and clarity. It’s not professional lab quality, but that’s not really the point—this printer is all about convenience and charm. I really like the compact size. It fits easily in a drawer or bag, making it perfect for travel, events, or scrapbooking on the go. The included 38-sheet pack is a great starter, though I definitely recommend ordering refills if you plan to use it often. One thing to note is that printing can take a minute or so per photo, and the cost per print is a bit higher than traditional photo printing. However, the instant gratification and portability more than make up for it. Overall, this is a super fun gadget for capturing memories, journaling, or creating photo walls and gifts. It’s especially great for kids, parties, or anyone who loves physical photos in a digital world.

Pleasantly Surprised!
I’m very happy that I went with this Kodak Mini 2 Retro photo printer instead of any of the others. I spent hours researching all the different brands of these little fellas, watching videos, reading tons of reviews, etc… I purchased this printer to take on our cross country road trip & cruise from Los Angeles to print out pics along the way for our travel journal. Of course, price was also a factor as I couldn’t see spending a huge amount for something that I wouldn’t use on a daily basis & only on our travels which equates to about 4-5 times a year. One of the main differences with this one vs some of the others is that it’s not a “sticker”… which is happily okay about as I have double sided sticky tape that easily fits into my bag. I will admit that getting it on sale for $85 & that it came with the 3 cartridges that totals 68 photos also helped in my decision to buy this one. I also looked at the price of replacement film cartridges for in the future & how much each photo would end up costing. (Replacement cartridges were just under $18 for a total of 60 photos… two cartridges of 30.) This Kodak Mini 2 Retro ultimately ticked all the boxes - economical replacement cartridges, photo quality & overall price. The app was easy to add & connect via Bluetooth to my iPhone 15 Plus. Upon trying it out, print speed took less than a minute for it to print out. And as you see, the photo of my husband’s cat “Bowie” printed out quite beautifully! I wasn’t expecting a professional photo by any means but it turned out much better than I expected!! The picture quality is really quite good! The app also allows you to add a border (as I did in my photo) as well as adjusting colors & do some editing. I did absolutely nothing to this photo as I just wanted to print out a basic photo to check it’s overall photo quality. (I am “technically challenged”.😄 Which is another reason why I wanted something easy/simple.) The size of the printer is also nicely compact & will fit in my small carry-on bag. It came with the cord that you need to charge it but not the block… which is fine as I have a drawer full of those things. I would definitely recommend this photo printer… whether you want it for scrapbooking, photo journaling or just to print out photos on the spot to share. I am very happy with this little photo printer.

Better than expected
Pros: 1. When it works, the photos look great. 2. The film is affordable, especially when bought in bulk. Cons: 1. Inconsistency. Occasionally misprints can happen depending on the cartridge. Overall 5 stars, why? Despite the occasional misprint, I still give this 5 stars. The print quality is genuinely good, and the low cost of the film helps offset the rare wasted print. In my experience, the inconsistency seems more like a limitation of packing this kind of technology into a small device, rather than poor design. The Kodak Mini Retro 2 does exactly what it’s meant to do. If you’re looking for an affordable way to print small photos—whether for journaling, scrapbooking, or just casual use - this is a great option.

Compact and mighty!
This little printer is excellent! It makes 2x3” prints on real photo paper. The colors are true to my phone screen photos. I discovered that it’s better to adjust photos in the photo app before printing. I like that the printer is small, portable, and connects by Bluetooth so I don’t need extra cables connecting to my phone. Just one word: patience. The photo paper makes several passes out and back in again before it is finished, so just be patient until it finishes. Don’t try to pull out the paper too soon. The ink is in the photo cartridge. I love it so much, I already had to buy replacement ink cartridges.

Small and easy to use
Great value for the cost, super small, charges fast and very easy to use. Only drawbacks: print colors are somewhat weak, editing interface does not show actual printed area clearly.

A great portable printer for Polaroid style instant prints, but its actual photo paper.
Print quality is great compared to Polaroid and instax cameras. It’s not lab quality but it’s an under $100 portable dye sub printer. For what it is, I am more than happy with the quality. The box of 30 photos (3 refills cartridges) makes a great carry box, the printer with one 10 print cartridge and the 2 other cartridges. I love the portability to be able to print out street photography shots on site.

Great color and print quality, and worked right out the box!
I was really anxious about this printer, since my mini polaroid prints really washed out shots and a lot of reviews for this also remarked on color inaccuracy, but I'm not having that problem at all. My photos all look great!! The Death Valley one only looks a little washed out because the actual original photo was on a super bright day and is also lighter, so even that printed as I expected. Picture clarity is great, too! I wish I'd gotten this instead of the Polaroid in the first place. There's definitely some noise involved in printing as it slides the paper back and forth to work on each layer, but it's not too bad, and the speed is fine. The printer is a little bigger than I was expecting from reviews, which I should have expected - unlike the rest of me, my hands are much smaller than the average adult lol. It's not as long as my phone, but it's about 2.5 times as thick as my phone in a silicone case, so I wouldn't feel safe walking around carrying it in my hand, but it would still fit well even in pretty small bags so long as you don't have a giant wallet. It still takes up like a sixth of the room of a Polaroid camera, though, so it's still a huge space saver! The only hiccup I had is that I was trying to connect to it through Bluetooth *before* setting up the app, thinking pairing it would make the app setup go smoother. Wrong. After wasting way too much time turning Buetooth off and on on my phone, turning the device off and on like a dozen times, and restarting my phone twice, all with no successes... I finally turned on the app instead, and boom. Instant connectivity, no problem. Didn't need to pair at all, so I wasted an hour for nothing but to exemplify my own foolishness. Ah, well.

Device is amazing, but app has some issues. Still def recommend.
First, i do absolutely love this thing. Its so handy and even though prints are small, quality is usually great. Its a great compliment to my many instax cameras and is definitely more versatile and easy to use. It was easy to set up and connect with my iphone and charges decently fast, though it does seem like the battery does deplete pretty quickly every charge. I’ve had it for about 2 months, and its spent almost all of that toted around in a backpack and this week left in a hot car for an hour with no problems. So it seems pretty durable. I’ve only been through two packs of film but so far these are the only things I’ve had issues with: - biggest complaint so far is the app! It’s not just feature limited… it actually messes up prints if you add frames - pics 1 &2 attached are the same original image, one printed with the frame and one without. The one with the frame, the detailed parts end up pixelated and the lines distorted. Note especially the area around the dogs eyes and the lines of the truck under the window. It took me a couple tries to figure out, originally thought it was the printer, but prints fine without adding the frame in app. Other than that, buttons are sometimes unclickable, and the app is just clunky. - i had one sheet print blank. It was like my second print, and haven’t had an issue since.

Fantastica!
Bella e facilissima da utilizzare. Le foto sono piccole, ma con colori ben definiti: stampa esattamente quel che si vede nel telefono. Sono molto soddisfatta dell’acquisto.

Buyers beware
Ridiculous product. Got my printer today and wasted 3 cartridges due to paper jam with only 2 useable printouts. Almost a miracle for photos to be printed properly. Do not waste your money on this.

Moments Made Tangible
I tried out the KODAK Mini 2 Retro for the first time yesterday, and I'm honestly hooked. I used it as part of my letter-writing hobby—printed a few snapshots to tuck into notes I was sending to friends in Kansas and Melbourne, Australia. It added such a personal feel, and the prints came out beautifully vibrant and crisp. It's compact, super easy to use, and the included photo paper means you can get started right out of the box. There's a bit of a pause needed after printing a handful, but it didn't really bother me. For something this convenient and satisfying, it's absolutely worth it. Feels like the perfect bridge between digital moments and real-life mementos.

Great
The product is amazing ..the photos are having excellent quality ...super easy to use and handle ...anyone wants to buy go for it ..but as mentioned ,you won't recieve 68 sheet ..instead you will be given 30 sheets along with 3 cartridge, each one having 10 sheets ..and after 3 prints charge will quickly drop ..but you can resolve that by keeping the printer on charge while printing..
