The prices we found were exorbitant. We hit at least five stores and gave up. I told my husband we should try Amazon, and we did.I looked at several towers and we chose this one. For the price we weren't expecting a whole lot compared to the ones we had already looked at that were twice as much.When the box arrived I was surprised at how heavy it was. I had to drag it across the floor. My husband wasn't home at the time, so I thought I could at least take the box apart.Every part is distinctly marked. No way will you get them mixed up with one another. I laid them all out around me and then started to read the instructions. While other people said the instructions were clear, I thought some of them were not easy to follow.However, I did get two levels finished before my husband got home. Of course, I had Queen Maggie supervising, so that was a great help. She would point out pieces by sitting on them for me. Sometimes she got them right, but most of the time she was wrong. She seemed to go for the softest pieces.I want to stop here to let you know - the pieces we were putting together were heavy. They are not thin boards we are talking about - but sturdy, heavy duty boards. We usually used at least four screws for every piece that was attached. So we were building a piece of furniture that was going to last, and that I was not afraid of letting our cat jump on and off of.The material they used to cover the wood was very nice and soft. Each piece that was exposed to the cat was covered. This was a well thought out tower, so every place that had a screw was covered so that your cat would not find it.Every layer of the tower was centered - so all of the weight would be the same - centered. The were three condos that we added, and above the third level there is a circle hammock and a flat ledge.If you look at the picture you will see scratching posts with natural sisal ropes. I wanted to draw your attention to them to tell you that each of the condos have something that looks very similar to those, but they are totally covered in fabric in each corner on the inside to make them sturdy. The condo on the fourth level actually has five inside it because it has a different shape. That is how sturdy this tower is.When you get towards the top, your cat will have three perches to sit on - one is a little higher than the other two. Each of these perches has extra padding so your cat is comfortable.Now - I would like to say here that - our Queen Maggie isn't quite used to her tower yet. I noticed last night after the lights were out that she was exploring up to the fourth tower. She didn't think I was watching. She actually went out on a limb and sat in the circle hammock. I really wanted to get a picture, but it was dark.I think after a few more days, she is going to really love it.I really can't tell you, unless you have looked elsewhere, what a great deal this is. We looked at some towers that were just straight up and down with a couple of perches and nothing else that were twice as much as this one.This is very nicely made, has so many extras that we didn't see on any other towers. We both loved the price, love the tower and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a tower for their furr baby.I forgot to tell you that there are three balls for entertainment AND they give you two extra. You also get extra screws.Please really consider this for your baby. I am positive that you will not regret it.

It arrived today so I don't have a long history with this cat tree, but what I CAN tell you is it's better than I thought it would be. It's a lot more solid & sturdy than I imagined, and I'm impressed. I was really worried it was also going to be a nightmare to put together but my autistic son & I did it in about 2 hours... with 3 of my cats supervising & 1 actually doing constant quality control checks with each new level. (He approved!) The taller it got, the more excited he became. My thumb and finger is sore from getting screws started, and sometimes we had to cut the holes through the fabric for the screws to go in the holes, but if you are patient and take the time everything does line up. It can be a little challenging and frustrating but it is able to be put together correctly. Once it is, it's so worth the effort. As you can see, mu cats already love it. The fabric is REALLY soft, surprisingly strong, and the *nests* are well padded. I will put some cat beds in the kitty caves for them even though they seem very happy with it the way it is. Obviously it's not the *wood*, 2x4 built type, and I was worried it wouldn't be durable enough for my 5 cats (2 are bigger boys) but as you can see, 1 of my big boys is completely satisfied, and my smallest cat went straight to the hammock. It is big enough for 4 of my cats, and I'm sure it would even be strong enough to hold my fat boy, though it might be a tighter fit. I'm really happy. The price was great, and I think it was a great deal. I may have to buy my next one from them. I'm pretty picky, and I doubt it will last years but I think it will hold up a reasonable amount of time, and with that price I would be okay buying a new one every year or two. I will update you next year how it goes.

I suffer from a common affliction of cat daddery. My three little tricksters are fun, kind and loving so I wanted to do something for them for all that they have given me. 😂A friend of mine got a cat tree for her rescues. I went online and bought this for my little lay-about rescues. A little nervous but I like Amazon’s return policy. I’ve seen very very flimsy cat trees in the past. This is not one of those trees. It is very sturdy.I agree with the other reviews it is not super simple to put together. But not overly complicated either. Just follow the directions and they are intuitive. I agree about an hour with two people a couple for one.Oh, the glory! The curiosity while I was putting it together was comical. When I put it in their spot the fun began! This tree has height, which is very good for felines. of three dimensions for travel and security. There are plenty of hidey holes and scratching posts that should give your furniture a break. I very very highly recommend this product, for the price especially.Edit: it has been a few days since my little layabouts received my gift for my awesomeness of basking in their benign overlordship. On the recommendation of Mr. Galaxy. (those who know, know) I always try to keep high, I mean height, in my house. But after repair work burn-out, it was the mantle and high beds. Now with this height of this cat tree for my three, I have really noticed a more fun and outgoing aspect of their personalities developing. Great product!Disabled vet on a limited income, so next step after this save up! a litter robot! 😂 anything for these kits! They really do get you out of the dark places.Edit: beware… The girls never leave the tree and have found their own little stands. They are so comfortable on their queen pedestals. I have definitely noticed a big difference in their personalities. They’re more relaxed… They feel safer when they’re on high if anyone comes in or another animal comes into the house. Very very very good buy.

Fairly easy to assemble but takes some time.Well made and sturdy. My cats will enjoy it. Nice and cozy for winter.
