I have purchased three of the plastic sets from Prime. I have enjoyed them tremendously. I can come home, sit down at my desk and make multiple colors and designs that are never disappointing! I find this the most relaxing and yet productive hobby or craft I have ever done. I make book markers out of them also name tags and I also buy white gift bags at the local Dollar Tree and put designs made with the spirograph on the outside of the bag while it is still in the factory fold. I use different pens most of which are metallic and have a somewhat Illuminating effect. Glitter writing pens are also very nice. I find that the metal spirograph is both nostalgic and of course Very sturdy. I've always wanted one since I was a kid and now that I'm retired I am allowing the kid in me to come forth and have fun! If you need a way to help keep your hand eye and motor reflex intact for both young and old this is a great tool to use. It will take some practice but once you get the hang of it you can't put it down! P.S. This is far more educational than having your child or yourself set in front of a computer playing a game.

This set is really nice! It's metal and has a good weight to it, and came swiftly in good condition. It was a Christmas present for myself and family to share because we had fond memories of Spirograph as kids. We compared it to our old set and it matches exactly, but metal. Going to be a fun winter making designs with the new kit!

The quality of this set looks to be good. This will be a Christmas gift, so it has not yet been opened and used. It is already wrapped and hidden under my bed! I like that the set is contained in a compact sturdy container which will be more convenient to store. Since I grew up with my own set as a kid, I thought it would be the perfect “creative distraction” to lure my son off of electronics for awhile. I wanted the metal set so it would last for year’s to come.

Like the original Spirograph, especially the 'Super' version as there are millions of combinations, but this is perfect when waiting on a friend (driver) in a Docs office... kids and grown-ups are both fascinated when you start making designs... Give them away to kids and hey are always glad to get them. The metal gears run cleaner and hold up better than the plastic, even thought there are a lot less options. Exactly as described and delivered fast in perfect condition.

great toy, but the packaging was torn up in the shipping bag. I will have to give it without the out packaging.

It's really cool that it's made out of metal.However, I found a much larger version on etsy that I wish I had bought first. Well, the product is excellent quality.Just kind of small.

Bought this for my adult son who loves drawing and photography. He laughed when calling me after receiving this as a surprise gift. He and his fiance make time for art evenings and included this compact childhood favorite into their evening fun. No way to lose the parts in a broken up box with this cleverly packaged set!

I had the plastic set when a kid, now I've gotten the collector set, fond memories. The metal design is nice/sturdier and the metal tin for storing is a bonus. I will definitely create a few designs with my great niece.
