Excellent! For my 2008 5.3 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab
Ive had it in for just about a week now and I'm still impressed. There is a noticeable improvement in power, but also a smoother delivery of it. Installation was very user friendly and requires beginner level wrench turning. Pros: Increased horsepower, smoother delivery of air to the engine. Great, unique sound. Easy installation. Quality parts. Cons: Not a perfect fit-but still fit easily. Resonance can get loud or humming at certain slower speeds with higher rpms, but still not really a con The resonance sound that others have complained about really depends on a couple factors. 1) And maybe most important, how much are you mashing your throttle? What I mean is, are you driving full throttle, 3/4, 1/2 or less? Not so much the actual speed, but more about the amount of throttle you give. Your throttle placement will tell the ECU how much air it needs to suck in. Relaxed/cruisin' driving makes no change in sound for me. Where as when I put the pedal to the metal, she comes alive with a vicious roar as she rips through the gears to honor and glory! Okay, maybe not that great, but it sure feels like it. However, when I find myself somewhere in-between there I notice the sound can get a little humming like. And, if that was a constants sound, I would not give it 5 stars and would've returned it already. I highly recommend this to all! It has been proven time and time again that the stock air box on Chevy Silverados is as good or in most cases better, cooler air than that on Cold Air Intakes (CAI's) This a great product.

Sounds Awesome, Really, Really, Really Awesome.
I don't care if it helps economy or gives more power(although I can feel improved lugging and power right after a shifts). It sounds awesome. Gives you that moan that a V8 should have when you have your foot in it. Sounds like a muscle car under acceleration, but its so quiet your wife won't complain even at 70-80 mph or towing. The suburban/tahoe/avalanche already have cold air intake via the wheel well with the stock airbox, so this kit is perfect. Its better looking than the full CAI kits under the hood IMO, unless you like that Japanese 4 cylinder gearhead look. I think this is the most bang for your buck if you are just making a few changes. I also added a SLP SLE-31059 axel-back exhaust which removes the stock resonator and adds dual chrome tip. (Amazon does not sell, I looked) This is an amazing change in sound on the outside the dual tip adds a low tone that sounds so mean at idle, but again no noise under normal added to the inside unless you are giving it the beans. I have a 2009 and I had a bit of trouble removing the stock breather tube from the valve cover, as its not just a clamp like the directions said, its a rigid tube that has to be rotated and then a clip bent in just the right way to get it off. Once I got it off there was just a normal barb under it and the supplied breather tube slipped on and I was good to go. I used some squeeze clamps instead of the screw tight hose clamps as it looks better. The two seem to harmonize together so nicely that I have no idea if the cold air system is giving me better milage, because I cant stop driving it like a 16 yr old kid. My mileage has gotten worse, but no complaints here :)

Cost a bit high but good quality easy install
2008 GMC Sierra Crew cab A bit Pricey, install is easy The sound is awesome (you will get a considerable increase of intake noise during accelerations) Haven't really noticed a cost savings on gas But I didn't buy it to save money I bought it for perform increase WHICH I noticed better/snappier throttle response. I coupled this with a DynoMax exhaust and LOVE IT

fit great

Skip the full cold air intake, this does the same job for cheaper
Easy install, only took about 45 minutes and I installed it in below freezing temperatures. The throttle response is a lot better, I had to slightly adjust how I hit the gas pedal. Sound is slightly louder as well. I haven’t had enough time to see if my fuel mileage increases but I didn’t buy a truck for it’s fuel efficiency. I’m not sure if it’s making any extra power but it’ll feel peppier.

Product did not work for me - but Airaid was OUTSTANDING - A Great Company as far as customer service!
So - I really thought I had to have cold air intake and dual exhaust on my 2011 Silverado Crew Cab 5.3LV8 - but let me tell you - the resonance in the truck was so loud - you could not talk nor could you listed to the radio. after talking to Airaid and then finally going back to stock intake with only the Airaid synthetic filter - it was great! to be honest - I think the problem was the truck - the system let so much air in, that that fender panels got to vibrating creating the resonance in the cab. I have lots of friends with cold air intakes and they have no problems, and in their cabs, sounds perfectly normal - but my Silverado Crew Cab and this product did nto agree. If your not 100% sure - Airaid gives you a 90 day return - I got mine refunded in full since it was not what I wanted - and they were AWESOME to help me try to figure it out before I finally threw in the towel, so if in doubt - test it out!!!

Fit like it should and sounds great!!
Install was fast and straight forward. Fit like it was supposed to I’m my 08 Avalanche. Quality built. Sounds great!!! I don’t know about how much it helps gas mileage but I’m heavy on the gas.

Needed minor modification, but great product!
So the male barbed fitting they provided for the breather hose, wasn't the right size & was too big to screw into the tube. I had to drill the hole bigger & used a lighter to heat & soften the plastic to rethread it so it would work. Other than that, I can definitely notice a difference in response, increased power, and the growl the induction makes when I put my foot in it.

Not sure about economy or horsepower gains. But truck is louder and sounds good when you punch it. Idle is the same. Well known fact that sound is directly related to power, twice as loud so easily twice as much power.
