Works great - but some limitations
I have three of these, purchased one at a time. That tells you that I like them enough to keep getting them. Generally these do just what they say they will do.There are some limitations:All remotes and Switches seem to have a common radio signal. This can cause problems. For example, I have one remote and switch in the study to turn on an oil-filled heater for a couple of hours. I have another in the Family Room to turn on/off lights on the Christmas Tree. Probably 25' and multiple walls separate the two locations. However, when I turn the tree lights on, the radiator comes on too! The signal is so strong it carries that distance through walls. The "fix" is to stand facing the switch you want to activate, hold the remote close to your chest - putting your body between the remote and the switch you want to protect, and the press the remote. Since you have a clear line to the device you want to change - it will activate... and since you have your body blocking signals to the other receiver - it does not change. After a while, buttons on the remote stop working. Pressing them does nothing (no red light). The fix is to pull the battery out... bend the silver tabs in the middle of the remote to make better contact with the battery and then reinsert the battery. I also found taking a folded over post-it note and putting it underneath the battery (so it pressed upwards to the contact better) helped. With these two comments justifying the 4 stars, I'm real pleased with it and would be comfortable purchasing another for myself if the need arises!

It’s good but needs work
It works as intended, but lacks a couple key features. The simplest of all should be an audible, beep or some thing when you press the buttons you have no idea if you actually put the timer on for 30 minutes because there’s nothing that flashes on the remote or beeps to let you know that it registered there’s been a number of times that you think you activated the timer for 60 minutes or so but it never goes off because it didn’t register the input

Not as good as expected to go through walls
I am not giving a 3 star review because the item is defective as it does a very good job, but with a very limited activation distance. It does not have a strong enough signal to go through very many walls and you have to get closer to it to activate. It wa not what I needed. The product is not defective and works great but only has a limited useful distance.

Does what I want it to do.
I was looking high and low for one of these, and am pleased with my purchase.

Works as advertised
I use it to run a home made air filter in the wood shop. Being able to leave it run for 30 minutes when I leave is great. The remote is only a few feet from the receiver in my case so I can't comment on how it would work from a distance.

Received it with a dead battery!
Received it today and put it in place to use with a radio. FAIL right out of the box! Why? Sent with a dead battery! Fortunately I had a spare battery and the unit is up and running. I'm testing it now to see if the timer function works as advertised. I've had good results in the past with Woods 120v timers to run bathroom fans and heaters. No big deal, but makes me wonder how long this product was sitting around before it being sold to have a dead battery. Button cells usually last a long time.

Works well
I'm using it to control a table fan in my bathroom that does not have its own timer, and at a distance of about 4' from remote to receiver, it works splendid. I'm pleased with it so far.[update one month later]This has worked flawlessly every day for the past month. I'm really pleased with it so far.[update May2018]I bought two more for other uses, but unfortunately they all are hardwired to operate on the same frequency/channel, so any remote operates any receiver/outlet. Be advised that if you try to use two of these devices and they're within range, one remote will turn on two different receivers.

Great for Turning on Hot Water Recirculating Pump in My Garage
I use this to turn on my hot water re-circulating pump before showering. I mounted the remote on the wall of my bathroom and the receiver is in my garage only 12 feet away. I had to use an extension cord to place the receive on the near side of the water heater because it seemed the heater blocked the signal if I put the receiver on the other side of the water heater where the outlet is. I also found out that if I stood between the remote and the receiver, I sometimes blocked the signal and the pump didn't turn on. After I made these adjustments the remote works like a charm and I have instant hot water when I want it.

Not more than 4 ft range
Great idea but it says it has an 80ft range...it won't work more than 4 ft away.

Works exactly as desired, and good remote control range
The switch on my parents' floor lamp is finicky, so they had previously settled on simply unplugging/replugging the lamp directly. I bought them this to resolve that, and they are very pleased. The setup process takes a minute, and the remote control is easy to use with direct access to on, off, and various timed settings. I might have chosen a smart wifi-enabled one for myself, but this one requires practically no configuration and works in minutes.

Perfect Device for my needs
I was using an outdoor remove outlet to turn on and off my under desk heater and would forget to turn if off so it often ran all night risking fire and using expensive electricity. This switch lets me turn in on for usually 30 minutes then turns itself off. One of my better investments.

Works great in bedroom
Put this in my 5yr old’s room hooked up to some string lights. I velcro’ed the remote to her headboard so she can turn it on in the middle of the night if she wants it....love the fact that it has timer function so it can turn itself off (just need to remind my daughter to hit the timed buttons).
