Don't pass this UP!!!
So your first thought looking at this product is probably "the price is too low for an automatic, probably not a good one" Well I was skeptical but similar automatics of this build quality are easily $250 or so. The sweeping red second hand is awesome. Now don't expect Rolex type sweeping. That costs money, like 1000 dollars minimum for BPH of that rate to sweep like a Rolex. It Still Sweeps nicely though. The hands IMO are what sold me on this watch. Nice sleek design. The hands blend nicely with the chrome Roman numerals. The glow after lights are off is pretty sensitive and easy to read but remember it's not a back-lit watch. Now for the band. I like the band, it fits nicely once you size it down and it's not too flashy but nice enough to wear out. Now for shortening the band if you google it there are plenty of guides. IT's very simple unlike what the other poster had explained. Heck I did it with my pocket knife and fingers without making a single scratch. Just google it read the guides and note the arrows on the band. Took me 5 mins to size it to my wrist. As for timekeeping I haven't had to readjust the watch since I set it over a month ago which is very good as Automatics like to run fast. Just keep in mind if you leave it on a shelf for more than 24 hours it will probably lose time because of no winding occuring. Supposed to have a 40 hour reserve once fully wound but I really haven't tested it.

(4/5) Probably the best out of all the Seiko 5 series on Amazon but slight quality issues
So I was looking for a good/decent automatic watch since I have too many quarts to begin with. When I thought of automatic watches, all the exotic brand names came up (Rolex, Omega, Patek Philippe, Movado, Breitling, Tag Heuer, etc.) and I realistically just said no. So then I looked toward more affordable Japanese watches which have improved significantly over time and Seiko crossed my mind (especially since I've owned two Seiko watches before) and then... The Seiko SNK607/SNK607K1 caught my attention. After looking at most of the models in my price range, I chose this watch simply because it looks more modern and sleeker than the rest of the other Seiko 5 series. Hopefully you'll feel the same way once you read the rest below. Pros: - Automatic/Kinetic watches are always more prestigious than battery operated (gives a sense of class and shows that you have discerning taste); doesn't require batteries - Price doesn't hurt your budget(For my age, this suits me, I'm not at the point where I'm old enough to wear gold or buy Patek Philippe) - Watch's face is not plain like the other Seiko 5 (this was a major factor to me since the other Seiko 5s just had too simple of a plastic black sheet for the watch's background where this watch has a textured surface that you can see, it doesn't make it look cheap) - This watch also shows Day and Date! (Very nice feature to have; also easy to read) - Has a nice clear case back to see the "jewels" (gears if you will) Cons: - It weighs more than your typical quartz and it's not as accurate at keeping time like a quartz (but then again, my purpose was to look for an automatic movement watch) - Requires professional servicing after 3-5 years - Doesn't use pins to connect the segments of the stainless steel wrist band (This can be a problem to many who do not know how to adjust wrist bands, I did run into this issue but since I am extremely good with fixing and adjusting gadgets--tinkering if you will--I was able to adjust the metal band myself just fine; professional store might charge you a shiny penny to do so... so just be aware) - Price; now what I mean by this is that you can find this exact same watch lower than $88.50 (I just so happened to buy this watch when Amazon dropped the price on it); just trying to save you a few bucks so you can spend it on other Amazon products you'd like :) - This watches clasp is a "fold-over-clasp-with-double-push-button-safety" not exactly good since it uses springs Other notes: - This watch does not have numeric hours written on the face Recommendation(s)/Suggestion(s): - This time, I probably can't help you guide your way to adjust the wrist band since it's a very risky operation to do it yourself especially if you do not have the experience (search youtube or seek other means to have your watch band adjusted); you really do not want to scratch up your watch before you even get to start wearing it in public. - I recommend that you read the manual and learn more about this watch; things like how water resistant it is (this watch is NOT meant for swimming or diving, but simply washing your hands is okay); I believe this watch handles less than 3 bars Other than that, thanks for reading this review. Cheers!

Very Nice Watch
This is my first Seiko and my first automatic watch. I had no clue what an automatic was before I owned this but as long as you keep moving your arm, you will never need a battery. It's a great looking watch and I'm almost hesitant to wear it everyday because I don't want to get it scratched. The quality is excellent. The metal strap was a bit too large for my wrist and had to get a jeweler to adjust it. Other than that I have no complaints and am very satisfied with my purchase.

SEIKO SNK607
I received my watch 2 days sooner than expected which made me HAPPY! The watch bracelet was too big. I looked it over and have shortened bands before, but this one was different than the pin type band so I opted for a pro to do it. Took out 3 links and it fits fine. When I was a kid my Dad had an automatic watch and I always wanted one. Now I have one much nicer than the one he had some 45 years ago. I could not be more pleased with the looks of the watch. If it keeps time the way it looks, I feel the watch was money well spent! I bought this watch from Amazon over Memorial Day weekend and got a great deal on it. Hope this review helped.

Nope
This watch did not keep time accurately. Whenever I took it off it stopped. I even put it in a watch winder, no joy. I had to get a refund, and purchase another Seiko from a different source.
