My Little Pony: Friends Forever Volume 1 (MLP Friends Forever) Paperback – July 8, 2014

This is a good read.

The art is great to look at, the story flows well while skillfully combining humor and adventure, and the characters stay true to their on-screen personalities. If you like MLP: FiM, you will enjoy this!

I love it so much for that it has 4 in 1i love the 2 story discord and cmcs go on a great adventure!

This comic contains 4 short stories with 2 or more characters in funny situations. They weren't as fun to read as the main comics for me but still nice. My copy had a little tear in it, somewhere around the middle. Not a big problem though, it's still readable. If you want to take a break from the main stories, this'll be perfect for you.

Great story! Nice artwork! Everything from MLP you will love. If you are just a simple fan or a brony / pegusister you will love this volume like I did!

It took me an hour to read, and the only memorable stories were Twilight+Shining Armor for showing more of Shining Armor and some back story for the Crystal Empire and Spike+Celestia for rationalizing Celestia's teachings. The one with the CMC and Discord was passable, as it showed more of a connection between Discord and the CMC, but I figured this out after the fact, it was just not fun reading through it. The Pinkie Pie and Applejack story was just plain awful, I didn't care what happened, and I wasn't engaged like the other stories. This was a worthwhile purchase, though I wish I could've just bought the Spike+Celestia story and the Twilight+Shining Armor story.

My kids love these graphic novels. I like that they aren't Captain Underpants with the horrible mis-spelled words or Diary of a Wimpy Kid that might influence your child to think the tricks played on other characters are funny and not hurtful.
