NEW Arthritis Cure : Fife ND, Dr Bruce: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Well worth a read - I read this quickly as it has some interesting ideas - I thought it might be a bit weird and I suppose some of the suggestions are quite unusual but do nevertheless make sense when you read the explanations in the book. The main thrust is that most joint problems are caused by infection somewhere in the body, particularly the mouth. This is no doubt a controversial view and some of the author's proposed solutions would also probably be challenged by experts in the field. But it is ever thus with medical and nutritional issues. In my view, as long as what is proposed is not harmful and would enhance health generally, then it's worth a try. The author proposes a 7-point battle plan:- 1. Improve oral health - good hygiene and oil pulling (this is the weird part). This involves using oil, particularly coconut oil, as a mouthwash for around 20 minutes twice a day. The purpose of this is to draw out any deep-seated but not necessarily obvious infections which might be causing or at least contributing towards joint problems. I haven't heard of this before but the arguments, studies etc. are quite plausible. At worst, a waste of time but not harmful and it might work. 2. Fight systemic infection by consuming coconut oil - ditto above 3. Eat a low-carb, whole food diet 4. Take glucosamine sulphate and chondroitin sulphate to rebuild cartilage 5. Exercise as much as possible, particularly rebounding 6. If overweight, lose a few pounds 7. Calm inflammation by taking food or supplements such as turmeric, ginger, cherries, omega-3 fatty acids + plenty of antioxidant nutrients. If you are troubled by arthritis, I'd recommend reading this book to see if the battle plan appeals to you. I'm going to try it and will update in a few months. Review: Fantastic book - I was told recently that I had degenerative spinal arthritis. This wonderful book describes what I can do to take control, heal myself and prevent further deterioration. It gives a wealth of information about diet, the importance of nutrition as well as eliminating harmful toxins from the body. This book has given me hope. I have already recommended it to other people.

Interesting
There are a lot of things we don't know about out there. Cures to many things and ailments, although, some of them could be strange and even bizarre. This book talks about cures for some things we would not thing have a cure and the only way is to take tablets to manage the condition and/or pain. Interesting read.

Very well researched and written
Read this book in a morning and found it not only enlightening but very entertaining. Both my partner and myself have had recent surgery for joint complaints and we have both been diagnosed as arthritic, however, we are now embarking upon a completely new dietary regime as advised in this book, we will update this review during the coming weeks.

Give this a try.
With my arthritis slowly getting worse in my right foot and the doctor saying there was nothing they could do I decided to buy the book and give it a try. Quite a lot of the book explains the connection between arthritis and the infections elsewhere in the body before getting around to the treatment. I haven't had any miracles but a slow improvement in the pain and swelling in my foot. Also my general health seems to have improved as well. I will keep going at it as I am into the routine now and will see if there is any more improvement. I also drink the cider vinegar as explained in Margaret Hills book on arthritis cure. Between the two I should be able get a big improvement hopefully.

I started the program outlined in this book on January 16, 2014 and I am writing about my journey on my health blog here: http://dontmisdiagnoseme.blogspot.ca/2014/02/the-new-arthritis-cure.html. Although I continue to have arthritis symptoms, I am experiencing the herxheimer reaction (typical symptoms) which gives me hope that it's working. My arthritis has not worsened since being on the program, so that is one possible benefit so far. I've also noticed whiter teeth, no more bleeding gums, more energy, more hope, and a general feeling like I am doing something positive for my health and taking my health into my own hands. Say no to medications! xoxo

Like most american health books the author waffles on endlessly. If he would stick to the key issue the book should have no more than 20 pages. I have been following the regimen for more than 6 weeks and still no improvement .

In my early 40's I was diagnosed with severe advanced osteoarthritis in my left hip. This was in the summer of 2006 (7 years ago) by two doctors. One of them looked at me straight in the eye and leaned toward me, saying, "You are going to get a hip replacement. You will be getting one." I would go on to live in constant pain for the next seven years. As I sat in a wheelchair in the emergency room of a local hospital, I started to try and get up but I couldn't. A nurse passed by and said to me, "You better take it easy. Your arthritis is not going away." I tried different health products and got some relief, but after a couple of weeks the pain would all come back again. It was like something living in me was figuring out what I did and would adapt accordingly. Massage therapy helped me have enough strength to walk for about 15 minutes at a time but walking was still painful. I'd have 4 - 5 high pain days a week and 2 days medium pain. Every so often I'd have a few hours of low pain but never a whole day. As late as five weeks ago I constantly had hot throbbing pain in my hip and walked with a very noticeable limp. Sitting for more than 15 minutes at a time caused my leg to stiffen so I could not stand up and walk right away. I got this book because Dr. Fife was the only doctor who said his program was a cure. All other arthritis books circle around that claim and pretty much offer ways to minimize pain a little at best. On the first day I tried the oil pulling that he teaches, the hot throbbing and inflammation went away. And it hasn't come back! All my high pain and medium pain days went away too. They went down to nothing but low pain days within a day, and as the weeks have passed most of my days are no pain days! I have not had even one high or medium pain day again since I began oil pulling, which was 30 days ago. I am excited to see my range of motion coming back. It's interesting how I'm feeling things popping and moving around as I walk sometimes. As I walk I've been feeling like velcro is getting stripped away inside my leg and releasing more range of motion. I can't believe the results I've been getting. I can move normally now and go from point A directly to point B instead of pivoting the long way so the good leg takes the first step even though it is farthest away. It was always a mystery how I'd gotten osteoarthritis. Dr. Fife explains it as an infection in the blood. Clean out the infection and you heal. It's as simple as that. I was a karate guy back when I got this condition. I'm suspecting I got it from being barefoot so often. Sometimes I would have cuts on my feet and I taught karate in all sorts of places. Some of them weren't very sanitary. I don't know what would have happened to me had I not discovered this book. The inflammation felt so bad before it seemed like something was on the verge of bursting inside me. That wasn't good. I care for two elderly parents and my recovery has helped my entire family. I also used to get chronic headaches and those have disappeared since I began the oil pulling. I feel younger, more alert and healthier all around. Several people who I've shared my experience with have run out to the store within the hour to buy themselves some coconut oil. I definitely recommend Dr. Fife's book to anyone who wishes to recover completely from any sort of bone disease or problem. God bless you, Dr. Fife. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. It has literally saved my life.
