FERN: A fern is any one of a group of about 12,000 species of plants. Unlike mosses they have xylem and phloem (making them vascular plants). They have stems, leaves, and roots like other vascular plants. Ferns do not have either seeds or flowers (they reproduce via spores). These cool little ferns are clean and easy to grow. By clean we mean that they don't continually drop small leaves like other ferns do. When mature the fern grows soft "rabbits feet" around the exterior of the pot. The Davallia fejeensis, better known as the Rabbits Foot Fern, is one of the most unique and 'easy to grow' ferns available. The fronds grow out of a rabbit foot looking rhizome as you can see in the picture below. This fern does not need constant moisture like most fern do and will survive with dry soil for short periods of time. As the Rabbit Foot fern grows, so does the hairy rhizomes, totally engulfing the pot in a few years.

Healthy plant
I got this in March. It is now august. It hasGrowed some and it is really healthy. It came well packaged and arrived quickly

The rabbit feet are brown, not white! Will they turn white when the plant is larger?
I got it to sit in a small concrete rabbit planter. The fern is very delicate and the “feet” are brown, not white! I’m wondering if they turn white as the plant ages?????? All things considered it’s a good fit for my planter.

Small healthy plant
The Rabbit's foot fern is cute, healthy and is doing well by the window in the morning sun. It is smaller than the one in the picture, but that's okay as it will grow pretty fast.

Healthy and well packaged
Packaged very well in box with foam "peanuts". It's very green and healthy looking. Has some "rabbit feet" sticking out already. Very happy!

Petite happy plant
Adorable fern, well packaged. I believe it arrived early! For someone who wants to try ferns out, the rabbits foot fern is for you. They are a little more forgiving on moisture than other ferns (IMO) and the foliage is pretty!
