My Go-To “Fish Tylenol” – A Must-Have for Any Fish Keeper!
My Go-To “Fish Tylenol” – A Must-Have for Any Fish Keeper! I like to call this my “Fish Tylenol” because it’s become my go-to remedy whenever one of my fish seems a little off or under the weather. I know that’s not its official name, but the comfort and relief it seems to provide is undeniable. With several tanks and lots of fish, occasional issues are inevitable—whether it’s stress, minor illness, or just a rough day. This product helps ease those moments and gives my fish the TLC they deserve. It’s gentle, effective, and has made a noticeable difference in their recovery and overall well-being. I bought the large size because I use it regularly and want to make sure I always have it on hand. If you care deeply about your fish and want to support them when they need a little help, I can’t recommend this enough!

Best bang for the buck and all natural.
Don't be fooled the Melafix professional strength is the same as the pond version but for $10 more. Melafic has been my natural go to for years. It works. Raise the water temp, make the recommended water changes, and keep dosing. Catch issues early while your fish still has some fight in it and you will br good to go.

Works good.
Works good, split tail fins are cured, slowly, takes time. Does foam surface temporarily but that dissolves. Can be used in conjunction with Pimafix. My discus, had white spots of fungus, which went away in a day.

Worked to heal wound
This worked to heal the wound on one of my koi. Would have given 5 starts except the treatment required turning off the UV lights in the filters. After one week of treatment, the wound was healed, but my pond is left with green cloudy water. Still working to get it all back flushed even with the UV lights on 24/7 again.

The bottle top arrived flattened.
The item is fine. Heals fish skin conditions. But the pour spout is as flattened, like it was dropped on its top.

It is effective.
It cures a verity of pound diseases, This product has been around for a long time. I had fin rot a winter disease that killed my prize Koi. I treated the pound for seven days and saved the remaining fish. It has a very mild smell not unpleasant and does not change water color. The 64 once size is the best buy for the money. I had about a quarter bottle left over after treating a 22x 12 pound. It is easy to use you have to remove any carbon filters but I do not have them just measure and dump it in.

This product works great. Cures injured fish.
A friend of mine sells Mellaluca products, so when I saw that API had a Mellaluca product for pond fish, I purchased a bottle to keep on hand for "just-in-case". Sure enough, this spring one of my older Koi was injured when a blind English Mastiff misjudged their proximity to the pond and fell in (she was rescued quickly as we were very close by). The next morning I saw a half-dollar size wound on my Koi. I grabbed this bottle and read the directions and treated the entire pond in case there was more than one injury. Within 7 days, the Koi was completely healed and looks great. This is a great product for pond- and fish-keepers.

This product works good but needs a different colored bottle.
I bought this by accident, thinking i was purchasing the normal melafix. When package arrived i didnt notice it was not the normal one as the packaging is almost identical for the pond version. It is WAY more concentrated than the normal one. I almost killed all my fish. My fish would have been dead if i had not been in the room doing a water change on another tank at the time. My review is only 3 stars because of the packaging looking the same as original normal melafix, not the melafix itself. Melafix itself i have no problem with and have used it for years, I usually try it first as a general treatment before buying more expensive and or potent treatments.
