A: Yes, the auto mode P1-P3 will automatically switch the direction and speed. In auto mode, you can not change direction or speed by yourself.

**Q: How do you lubricate the ancheer under desk cycle?  what kind of lubricant should be used, and exactly where do you put it?**
A: I used WD-40 sprayed on the rotator

**Q: Can this be used by a person who can't walk ?**
A: First, I would caution someone who is unable to walk to be sure to talk to their doctor before utilizing this machine.  
Speaking to the question:  You don't stand up on this desk elliptical - you use it while sitting down.  So, I would say that yes, if someone can lift their feet onto the petals & move their feet & lower legs from a sitting position that it can be operated.
