the bonds are hard plastic 'straws' and the atoms plug into them, so yes it will do chair flips. The straws will spin better and better the more you use them, as they stretch with use, and spin easier. I hope that answers your question!

can this kit make cyclopropane? im struggling with the pieces

since cyclopropane is highly strained, buiding it will require building in the ring strain into the model. so bending the bonds will be necessary.
