Dulux Walls & Ceilings Tester Paint, Tranquil Dawn, 30 ml

Received a well packaged tin of paint. Stablizers on the top & bottom to stop it moving around in the box. Paint went on a dream and I love the colour. A light fresh Olive colour and worked well in my conservatory Very pleased with the coverage

I went for tranquil dawn for my spare room & the colour varies on lighting from green to grey but it is a nice warm colour.Easy to paint/ roll and as with all dulux paint it covers well, 2 coats and job done.

I really like this paint. Our walls has a wall paper on so application couldn’t be as smooth but it is so easy to paint, dries fast and 2 coats results in a very good finish. I brushed the white wall with the navy paint by mistake and it was so easy to wipe it with a wet cloth right after. I recommend this product even though it is a little expensive.

Here’s the perfect get out clause. The instructions state that if applying over a previous silk finish, the surface should be lightly abraded first. So if it doesn’t adhere properly and you haven’t followed this advice, then you have no grounds to complain. Imagine how long it would take to sand all the walls of a room!Apart from this gripe, I was very happy with the paint. By using a roller and laying it on thick, I avoided the need for a second or third coat.

A great little paint tester. Just don't squeeze too hard! I love Tranquil Dawn, and I'm going to buy some for my bedroom.Update 03/12/24: I've now bought Tranquil Dawn paint and decorated my bedroom (3m by 3.77m, and 2.36m tall).It looks like a grey-green in certain light/shade, and a minty sage in other light. Both colours look great, and work well with a dark charcoal grey carpet.I'll update this review in the future when I see how hard wearing the paint is.I used the following paint for the walls:1x Dulux Walls White Primer & undercoat, 10L (one coat, plus going over bits that needed more).2x Dulux Easycare Washable and Tough Matt Emulsion Paint Tranquil Dawn 5L.1x Dulux Easycare Washable and Tough Matt Emulsion Paint Tranquil Dawn 2.5L.I gave my room 3x good coats of Dulux Easycare Washable and Tough Matt Emulsion Paint Tranquil Dawn. Leaving around 750ml (0.75L) of paint unused for touch ups.For my ceiling, I used:3x Tikkurila Anti-Reflex White 2 - Full Matt Emulsion Paint 3LMy ceiling had 3x coats, with about 500ml (0.5L) left for touch ups.For my woodwork, I'm using:1x Dulux Quick Dry Satinwood Paint - Pure Brilliant White 2.5 LitreThat will be enough for 3x coats, which I'm yet to do.
