Great product! I've needed this for a while. Easy to use and very accurate.
This is a great choice if you need an easy to use scale. You simply turn it on, wait for it to zero out (1 or 2 seconds) and you're ready to go. I highly recommend this product. It works well.

Fantastic Tool
I was borrowing a friend of mines Snap On scale until I purchased this FJC Electronic scale. I found the FJC scale to be much easier to use and read than the Snap On scale. I like how when you turn it on the scale does a self calibration each time. The numbers on the keypad are large and bright. You are able to use the scale one of two ways when adding refrigerant from a 30 pound cylinder. You can put the cylinder on the scale and press zero and it will zero the scale to allow you to inject the exact amount. Or you can place the 30 pound tank on the scale take the reading and then subtract how much refrigerant is needed. Then you inject the refrigerant to the desired amount after you have figured the correct amount that should be in the 30 pound cylinder. A great scale for the price.

I had a similar problem with it that others had. The scale is not steady. If it just drifted up and down a tenth of an ounce that would be no problem, they all do that with 30lb freon if outside in the wind. This scale just kept gaining gradually a half ounce to an ounce at a time , comparing it to my tif and robinair scales they are rock steady with very little fluctuation., Ended up returning this one.

Good scale for ac work EXCEPT it does time out and turn off rather quickly so you really have to pay attention or you wont know how much freon you recovered. Also it doesnt save the last measurement so you have to weigh you refill can empty and write that number on the can in case you forget so you will know what you recovered/charged.

Pay for better quality, this scale is junk
Put a 10 lb hand weight on it to see if it was accurate, not sure if the hand weight was off or scale but I was indoors and on a flat, level surface and weight displayed moved up and down

Mike in Afghanistan
This was purchased as a stand by in case "something" happened to the shop unit(s). I service armored vehicles here in Afghanistan, but it now does all servicing. I service all Chicos a brand of A/C units for buildings and refers that we have here on the COP. The unit is easy to teach to the soldiers how to operate and when it all goes to **** they can read the cover. It has two weight measurements on the scale and both are being used. We service R-12, R-22, R-134A, R-407. Good piece of equipment. Easy on the wallet.
