When used outside will this pipe rust over time?

My church made handrails out of these, many years ago & if they can be painted I would recommend rustoleum paint. Left to themselves they won’t exactly rust, but they will get rather unattractive. Sometimes in old houses you’ll hear about these pipes finally breaking after several decades of use. I would guess the lifespan to be about 50 to 60 years probably longer.

Do this pipes hold weight ? (More or Less 50 pounds)

Yes, I used them in furniture and quilt ladder…. They are heavy gauge and should easily handle 50 pounds of weight…..
