Following his spiritual and artistic rebirth - and hot on the heels of his incredibly well received release, Mona Bone Jakon - Cat Stevens unveiled his second album of the year in November 1970, and it was to become one of the defining musical statements of the new decade. Tea For The Tillerman not only consolidated Cat's success in the UK and forged a glittering new career in the US, but it also set him on the road to global superstardom and gave the world songs like "Wild World," "Father & Son," "Where Do The Children Play?" and many more. Newly remastered for its 50th anniversary. Deluxe 2 CD set includes bonus disc of demos and live tracks. Review: Brilliant - When the September release of Playing for Change was built on Cat Stevens' "Peace Train" it caught me by surprise. I had incorrectly held the belief that he was no longer producing pop music, setting aside his guitars. I was thrilled to learn that Cat is again stirring the souls of all who listen for more than a decade--and so I purchased everyone of his albums I could get my hands on. These are the songs I am familiar with, his reverence for the experience of life, a celebration of the difficult and incredibly moments i love, relationships, and a connection with something greater. Cat's voice is like no other, both soft and powerful, smooth and textured, and so tightly coupled with the playing of the guitar that it seems both are coming from a single instrument. Review: Very satisfied with product - Excellent condition. Very happy with this purchase. The music's great!

Great seller.
This wouldn't play more than a few seconds on my Bose. But it was in perfect shape, and the seller couldn't have been more pleasant and prompt replying to my email, and refunded my money, so I had to give four stars anyway. Disappointing, though.

Very nice!
I don't usually think much of classic recording remakes but this one is pretty terrific. The original is an all time favorite of mine so I wanted to hear this one. I listened on youtube using my portable DAC and Audeze LCD-2 prior to purchasing it. If you're a fan of the man and his music I suspect you will enjoy this one. It's well packaged, too!

Timeless
America's first taste of Cat Stevens. It was an overnight sensation...some 3 or 4 albums late. But this gets righteous treatment. If the boxed set is too much, this should be just right. You get some alternate takes, live tracks, and a couple of songs that were left off the album. I bought the extended Tea for the Tillerman album a few years back and married those tracks to these to create a unique 2nd disc of these songs. I'm anxiously waiting for the next record, Teaser and the Firecat to come out as a double disc. Same background, same plan!

Bien reçu CD Cat Stevens
Tea for the Tillerman CD digipack super présentation. Des titres grandioses avec un son superbe . Les morceaux sont bien ainsi que les démos . Dans ce monde de brutes des chansons douces par un chanteur d'une grandeur immense . A avoir.
