Coconut Shea Curl Defining Creme 16 oz

Some stuff you just can’t find in the beauty supply. So I’m glad there’s a store on here that sells this product. Perfect for Bantu knots on blow dried hair and on wet hair.

I have high porosity 4 b type curls. Retaining moisture with my wash and go’s is a constant battle. Now that I’m in my 50’s and coloring my greys it’s even more of an issue. I got this today and tried it to revive my curls on a 4 day wash and go…. And all I did was dampen my hair with a spray bottle and work the product into my hair. I was so shocked at the moisture level… the definition and the hold it gave my curls. My hair did not shrink up either like it normally would when rewetting it. Wow! This is just what I’ve needed and you get a lot of product for a decent price. My curls looked just as good as if I had washed it and with no gel cast but good hold. I did use my diffuser to dry it as well. I’m so happy I found this product and I highly recommend it. My pictures don’t do it justice . The complete definition is not as great in pics as it is in person.

I was looking at the various coconut oil hair products that Amazon offered and this was highly recommended by other users. For under 10 dollars a container I had to try it. If I didn't like it it wasn't a huge waste of money. Also I am a huge product junkie and try a lot of new stuff. I maybe like 50% of the stuff I try. And I spend way more than 8 dollars a container for most of them. So first upon first try I wash and towel dry my hair and use this stuff with a combination of other hair oils and products that I have. I got amazing curls. Very defined and springy. I was very pleased. However I am even more pleased at how it works on completely dry, 2nd day hair. I put some on my curls and hand combed it through like it is recommended on the container. I then sprayed a little Deva curl Mist -er Right spray over it and let it air dry. Love love love the way my curls turned out. This stuff is definitely going into my regular product regimen. 3rd day I did the same and now 4th day my hair still looks really good and I have done nothing to it yet. You will not be disappointed. A side note I have medium length 3b curls that usually tend to be really frizzy by the second day after washing and I usually only wash 1x per week to keep the frizz down.

It doesn’t have an overpowering coconut smell, which is nice, but I found that my hair frizzed less when I used the product under another. Then it worked perfect and my curls stayed together even in daily humid weather.

I have type 3b fine dense curls and low porosity hair. Originally I actually thought I had high po hair because of how dry my hair would look/feel but once I switched to low poo and cowashing the texture has really changed. I started recently with CG and silicone free products, beginning with As I Am's leave in and SheaMoisture coconut hibiscus curling milk, which ended up basically leaving my hair looking crunchy almost because the product was sitting on top of my hair...thus how I realized I'm actually low po. So I decided to give this product a try after a lot of research looking for a low investment option for low po hair. I'm so glad I did, this may be my holy grail! I use it following leave in conditioner, a pretty light dab then I add water and rub between my hands before scrunching from the bottom into my hair, starting at the bottom. It keeps my curls soft and defined without being sticky or crunchy! On days when I'm not cowashing I spray water to dampen my hair and repeat the process (minus leave in) and I find it redefines my curls really well after sleeping on them working out etc. I am so happy with this product and the value is great! There is also almost no scent.

This product is really good I originally used Shea moisture curl activating cream but decided to try this just to try something new and it defines my curls just as good as the product I used before. Now, to be honest I have a natural loose curl texture so it doesn't take much to get my hair crazy curly so I can't promise this would work for those who have more thick and kinky hair. I know I've seen some reviews that said that this product doesn't work but I believe that you have to have some form of natural curliness to your hair for it to work and some of yall just don't have it, this product is supposed to more deeply define your curls not give you curls. It says on the instructions to apply it while damp or dry but it works best for me when I apply it when my hair is wet because my curls are defined the most when I wet it and the cream just defines them even more and locks them into place and I also brush my hair instead of combing it. Everybody's hair is different so you might not always follow hair product instructions verbatim.

I have 4a hair. I’d say this product works especially when applied to wet hair, but it’s neutral smelling at best. I’m a person that likes a good moisturizer with a pleasant smell so after I’m done with this container, I highly doubt I’ll buy it again.

I cannot believe how well this product works...and for the price. For reference, I have medium-high density, high porosity, 3c hair (my hair is also of a finer/silkier texture). I do mostly wash and go’s and I usually use the LCO method. This product will give me a full week of moisture and softness! I do refresh with a water-based refresher spray or plain water throughout the week, but I only have to apply this product once per week. It is very thick and concentrated and with it being 16 ounces, it lasts forever! I purchased it for $7.99 so that is a huge value! I normally use Camille Rose Naturals styling creams which work amazingly well but cost about $16 for 8 ounces. This product can definitely be used as a stand alone product which is awesome! I’ll definitely repurchase...when it runs out...in a million years. FYI, this product pairs great with Uncle Funky’s Daughter Curly Magic! I’ve taken to mixing the two in a 50/50 ratio in a separate container and applying that to my hair for the perfect wash n go.

Love this. Been using a far more expensive item for years this is so much better. Tames my curly hair, lightweight, non greasy and no friz even when caught in drizzle. Love it.
