Excellent sound reproduction for the price hands down.
The size and functionality is very practical, but the beautiful sound stage feel and projection is unbelievable, the highs reproduce beautiful glitter, the mid-range represents as if the singer is in the room that you are listening to, and the low end is very robust not to overbearing and very surprising depending upon the type of music you are listening to. I will say you need decent power to drive these full range drivers to really enjoy the sound reproduction, I was thoroughly impressed the moment I hook them up and I strongly suggest using speak on cable from your amplifier to the speakers, rockville's will definitely rock your house and your neighborhood, start selling tickets you just opened a jamming nightclub in your own home. I strongly recommend these speakers to all of my friends and family members!

Great alternative for low price
I really needed an inexpensive but decent pair of non-powered speakers that could hold up for smaller gigs but also outdoor as well if need be, on occasion. A friend of mine that does live audio for churches around town recommended Rockville as a viable alternative, so I jumped at them since the price was so low. I was pleasantly surprised. They are much more sturdy quality than expected and still lightweight and portable. The highs and mids are great, they may suffer a bit on the lows, but as someone that plays mostly jazz its a non-issue for me and I couldn't really tell in comparison with some much pricier Yamaha I own. I'd probably consider investing in their subs, at a later date, as well.

Not bad for the money.
I just got these yesterday, my home system is already set up so I just had to take them out of the big box they came in and plugged them in, keep in mind these are some pretty big speakers to handle. First off these are not top of the line there are far better choices out there, but you'll spend 10 times the price to buy the type of speakers you want to bring the house down. I read a lot of reviews on these speakers, some love them, others hate them, with over 30 years of playing music with different systems I didnt expect a lot with these but was suprised for the money their not bad. I have a 100 watt per channel amp with a duel 7channel equalizer mixer to adjust my sound, so after a few minutes of messing with my eq I got them to sound how I like it. Some music the bass lacks, other music lacks decent mid or high, how something is recorded determines that, its something many reviews don't mention. Wattage is something else that's overrated, Ive been playing music a long time, a real hundred watts in a decent size room is deafening, people who say their pushing 250 watts through them I tend to wonder if they know wattage, these speakers are not what you'd consider band worthy. Sure you could use them but if I was still playing live gigs I would find something better, but for the home, garage, or a small outside get together these are great. I ran all types of music through them, I tend to like power ballads, country, and symphony type music and in general these speakers played everything fine. LoL, I did turn on some hip hop and old motown and will say they do have some thump if you like hip hop and the motown sounded very good. So yes I would recommend these if you can tailor your music with a real equalizer, not a built in digital one. Some people whove never had real sound equipment will say these rock, but those of us whove had professional gear will say their ok, so for middle of the road budget speakers I will say overall their not bad. Amazon has a good return policy, so for less then 300.00 try them on your system, if you have an equalizer I believe you will like them if not send them back. I didnt expect much when I ordered them but I didn't want to spend a few thousand so I will keep these they will work for my needs.
