The good thing about these sun dried tomatoes is that there are only two ingredients; tomatoes and salt. This is far better than some brands which rehydrate tomatoes ending up with 25% water. However the amount of tomatoes and salt is not defined on the label while some other brands specify, for example, 2 to 3% salt. These tomatoes only taste of salt and this is reflected in the bread sticks I use them in even when chopped finely. My next step is to wash them thoroughly to try to remove any excess salt and then see what they taste like but they certainly lack the usual piquancy of sun dried tomatoes.

These tomatoes are lovely, but the seal on these types of bags is so useless that this bag of dried tomatoes spilled all across the floor as I opened the envelope it came in.
