Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden Stamp Set ABCs 123s & First Wooden Stamp Set – Vehicles

This is a nice little set, and good quality, like all M&D products usually are, but a consistent gripe of mine with their products (including this one), for years now, is that the items never come with lids! These are marketed for young children, but they don’t include a simple thing like a cover! This means that if it contains a number of pieces, as many of their toys do, the pieces inevitably end up all over the house. Even staying on top things with the child, insisting that they pick up after themselves, it always happens that the pieces end up all over the place. Especially if you have numerous children! It would be so nice for a company geared toward young children, and educational toys, to include something as easy as a lid to make storage neat and efficient! Why they have not yet done this, I have yet to figure out. It doesn’t cost that much more per item to put a lid on, and their products are expensive enough that it should include a basic thing like a lid/cover. Even containers you buy at Walmart come with lids! I would give this a high rating, but I get very frustrated when I open the package, only to discover once again that it did not come with a lid to contain the numerous pieces inside the box! It did come with a little activity book, which I did not even realize it came with, so that was a nice bonus for us! I am uploading photographs from the inside of the activity book, because it really is a nice touch. The stamps are good quality, the ink seems to work fine - just be careful when you press down with the stamp, if you press too hard it gets ink all over around the letter, instead of just on the letter.

I’m astounded that this product does not have a lid! Seriously! I wish I would’ve read the reviews ahead of buying this product. Ridiculous! Also, kids that are using alphabet stamps do not know alphabetical order so putting them back in this box will be a nightmare besides HAVING NO LID. Sorely disappointed in Melissa and Doug on this one. I’m a reading specialist and this is for my grandson. That’s ok. I’ll put all of the letter in a totally different case with the letter/number/symbol below it. Sheeeeeesh!

My son is super into his alphabet and letters, so he loves these! He has enjoyed them can use them pretty well on his own. It comes with a great activity pad, stamp pad, and lots of great stamps. Very awesome for the value. I only have two complaints- this set has no lid! It really needs a lid with how many pieces there are. Also, the stamps are kinda hard to fit all back into the case, frustrating for an adult and difficult for a kid. So storage, 2 stars. The rest of the kit, 5 stars :)

We homeschool and while my son is just starting kindergarten, all workbooks at his level require small handwriting skills that he doesn't yet possess. So we use these instead or requiring him to write in his math workbooks. He loves this method! And the worksheets that came with it are super great too. We loved it so much that we also gifted a set to his cousin who is in first grade. She loved the worksheets and had a blast doing them during the summer.

Nice, solid wooden stamps for my 4 year olds. The ink pad isn't messy and the ink wipes off the table easily. The stamps are smaller (about half the size of refrigerator magnets) and there is no lid, so just an FYI prior to purchase if you have not read that in prior reviews. I had to take off a star because we received two letter I’s and no letter H. It was noticed a bit after my kids used most of the stamps so I’m not sure returning is an option. I will update if the company replaces the letter.

I bought this for my 2nd grader who just started spelling tests this year. Stamps were a suggestion by his teacher to practice words. He is having fun with it and gets him more excited to practice his words.My Kindergartener loves it too, the activity pad that comes with it is more for her age range.I’d love to see a set like this for Spanish. Both of my kids are in Spanish Immersion and it would be great to have a Spanish version.Melissa & Doug products are always well made. It does not have a lid like many of the reviews explain. That doesn’t bother me so much. The ink pad is a little messy because my kids press as hard as they can on the ink.

The kids absolutely love it! The activity book it comes with is awesome! The only thing I would add is some hard plastic at the bottom of the box because once you use the stamps and there is ink on the bottom of the stampers it gets ink all over the box. Not a huge deal but I am a neat freak. So I cut out plastic from binder dividers and put it on the bottom...solved. Also IMPORTANT NOTE: the color ring on top of each stamp can be what color ink they are supposed to use. But it doesn't always match in the activity book.

Kids have lots of fun with these. Kinda wish they were a tad bigger. For 2 & 3 year old grandchildren. 3 yr old learning the letters of her name.Really nicely made.

These stamps make nice big, clear letters in both upper case and lower case, plus numbers and some symbols. They come in a sturdy wooden case but it has no lid. I will have to make a cardboard sleeve to keep the stamps in the box, where they are so nice and neatly organized. The stamp pad provided with the stamps has four colours, Red, Blue, Green and Orange. The pad works but it is not overly juicy. Hope it works for a while. Lots of fun!!!

When I bought it, there was no new product, so I chose "Used-like new". But it doesn't look like new! The package is broken, the stamp is a mass. It cost me 21.83 dollars, almost the same with full price, but the thing I recived doesn't worth it. I don't trust "Like new" anymore.

Los sellos en sí estánuy bien, los colores de la tinta son bonitos y todo es de una excelente calidad, PERO en el set que recibí vienen dos letras "r" y no viene la "q" minúscula. Normalmente no me importaría tanto, mas el nombre de mi niño lleva la letra "q" y tenemos que utilizar la "b" invertida y no queda tan bonito como podría si hubiera estado completo.

I love this set. I bought it mainly for my 5 year old to make spelling more fun, as she struggles. It is a hit with her. My only complaint is that I wish it came with a clear plastic lid/cover so you can store away without losing any pieces along the way.

My 2yo loves stamping and my newly turned 5yo loves spelling words and using the numbers to make math problems for us to solve.The ink pads aren’t the greatest. I imagine I’ll have to buy a back up shortly.
