Spring vehicle maintenance
When I first moved to Colorado 10 years ago, I brought a collector vehicle with me. While its rubber seals had held up for years on the Gulf coast, as soon as I brought it to our low humidity normal, the rubber and plastics both started to deteriorate, quickly. On my 2021 Ford Bronco, I had started to notice some new squeaks this spring that seemed to be coming from the windows and rear, and the passenger window had started sounding a little differently sealing up after closing the door. Time to clean and condition the seals. (Assuming your seals are already “clean” looking, as in not caked in mud) Take a decent microfiber cloth and some waterless wash (I like Adams Polishes waterless wash) and clean your seals. You’ll be surprised at how grimy that clean looking seal actually is. Wipe it down until clean and dried. Also clean the interior of your windows with a good glass cleaner (again I love Adam’s) and waterless wash the top edge of the swing gate too. Mine had some dirt clinging there as well. Next take a seal reviver product like DuPont seal saver and thoroughly apply to condition the seals following manufacturer instructions. Even though my Bronco is garaged etc, the seals really absorbed the seal saver nicely. Hit the rubber door seals, the seal around the swing gate, and for you hard top folks pay special attention to the rubber seal on and around the back glass. Also clean and apply to your hard top seals the next time you have your panels off. This absolutely cured the new squeaks I was hearing. Even though the 6th gen’s are still new, there are a lot of seals with failure potential - easier to apply some prevention once every 6 months or so than to chase leaks due to tired rubber. 🙂 A lot of squeaks you might be thinking are coming from the swing gate hinges may well be coming from the seal.

Works!
Bought for a jeep wrangler that the doors kept freezing shut on. Doors were able to be opened pretty easily after a half inch of ice (Michigan weather) had frozen them shut this time. I am unaware if this will have other advantages, but it did what I hoped.

Great product, poor applicator
First the good: The conditioner worked very well. Made the door seals of our cars look new, and made them soft again. I will buy this product again just because of how well the it worked. The bad: the applicator's sponge came off the plastic handle with the first gentle swipe when I started applying it. It's barely glued on, and the sponge is fragile. Ripped right off. So then I used the sponge held with my fingers to apply the conditioner...but the sponge disintegrated before one door was done. Ended up using a 1" foam paint brush, which worked excellent because I could get in tight spots/crevasses. Also, package says it does 5-6 cars, but I was only able to do 2 four-door vehicles before I ran out of product (the bottle is only 0.85 fluid ounces). Bottom line- I'll buy it again because it works great, but I'll throw away the applicator, use a narrow foam paint brush, and understand that I'll only get 2 vehicles out of it.

This product quiets the squeaking at my Bronco's tailgate. I reapply it occasionally but it lasts a while. Good stuff.

This stuff is like magic and saved my sunroof seal from being replaced.
This stuff saved me from having to replace my moonroof rubber seal (probably $200). Everyone was saying to use a silicone spray on your seals. Well, I did and the rubber got sticky. It was so bad that when I used the "tilt" button to raise it, there was a hard snap in the metal as it flexed because even just a few hours and it was as if I used glue. I tried everything to get rid of the stickyness--other silicone lubes, dry lubricant, and even just cleaned it with isopropyl. But nothing helped. Finally I heard about this Dupont Seal Saver which came highly recommended. I cleaned the seal all the way around once more with isopropyl and then put on a thick layer of Seal Saver. 5 minutes later, the subroof was opening and closing as it had been before I fell for the stupid idea of silicone. I went crazy with the stuff and applied it to the door and trunk seals after that, and I've been applying it for the last 3 years. It really soaks into the foam rubber seals too and keeps it soft. When I open my car door, the seal expands back to its natural form instead if staying flat like it was before I started applying Seal Saver.

Conditioner
Seems to work okay. Doesn't penetrate as fast as it I would have liked it to. Probably just a good option for conditioning seals. Not sure of any of their options out there but this will work for what it's used for.
