Cole Haan Women's Knee Length Hooded Quilted Down Coat

Now that I've had it for a year, it's gone from three stars to four. I still think the hood is ridiculous, but it's very practical and the jacket is extremely warm. Walking to work on the most bitterly cold days is a lot less unpleasant than it used to be.--The one I received was defective, so I may like it better once I get one that isn't. One of the drawstrings for the hood doesn't hold, which is a serious problem because the hood is enormous and won't stay up unless you cinch them up. But I wore it before discovering this defect, so here are my initial thoughts:The good:- Flattering (with the hood down)- Very warm without being bulky; you still have a waist and don't look like you're wearing a sleeping bag as outerwear- The navy is a nice color- Windproof- Sleeves are reasonable length -- don't go over my hands- Does not restrict your stride when walking fast the way some long jackets doThe bad:- The hood is just ridiculous up -- it's way too large and you look absurd; OTOH, it does leave lots of room for a hat/earmuffs/scarf- Cuffs of sleeves aren't tight enough -- on a windy day, they won't keep the cold out and the cuffs of my gloves kept slipping out of the sleeves- Zippers sometimes catch on the fabric- Pockets aren't large enoughGiven the very low price ($110) and that it fits well overall, I will probably keep the replacement when it comes. But I think there's a reason Cole Haan didn't sell out of this at full price. This is not a $300-$450 coat.

I love this jacket. One of my Boston winter essentials. Really windproof and waterproof. The one thing I don't like is it sheds some feathers occasionally.

Finding a winter coat if you are curvy can be tough. I am 5’7 and usually wear a size 6-8 but a “D” chest and rounder butt makes coats impossible to find. This coat fits beautifully in a large. The waist is defined and it is very warm for northeast winters.

Normally wear a small but ordered in a medium because I already have a puffy winter coat I wear over t-shirts, etc. I wanted something to wear outside on walks with my dog which I could wear a sweater underneath. The waistline is perfect because it does not make me look like a puffed up balloon. I love the inner half zip, after walking awhile it helps to cool down by unzipping the full length. The hood is big as the other comments have said. Even with a hat under the hood and pulling the zip cords tight the hood is big. The sleeves seems a little short but not bad. Overall love the coat.

This coat is very nice, the two weeks it took to arrive after weren't. The coat was listed as Prime shipping. Ordered on December 13th arrived December 27th.

This is a very nice quality heavy jacket. I love how warm it is. The jacket zips up high to keep the hood in place and also has drawstrings for windy days. I do wish that the pockets didn’t have metal zippers as they are a little rough on hands/gloves and I worry they may scratch my phone.

Super warm and comfy! My only complaint would be that the zippers are very rough and I’ve definitely chipped more than a fair share of gel nails on them, even just as I was putting my hands in my pockets. If they could fix that it’d be 5 stars!

I have been. Purchasing this me coat for the past 3-4 winter . My favorite winter coat, light weight ,warm, nice length...this is my 1st time getting it from Amazon. many differences from my other original Cole haan. Diffently not an original Cole Haan coat. The zipper is a nightmare. please zipper up slow or get it replaced. Only kept it cause the cost, but I will continue getting this coat in-store next time.

Nice find for a warm winter jacket

I love this coat !! So much so that I bought a second one after the first was ruined by the hospital staff after they cut it off me.But as with the fist one. The zipper sucks. Unless you carefully hold it a certain way it gets stuck on the fabric that's sewn to it where it's attached to the coat. And that includes the pocket zipper as well as both front zippers.But I love this coat so much that despite me knowing this I bought it again

Love, love, love it!Being a new immigrant, this is my first Canadian winter and this is one of the first winter coats that I bought. Though the temperatures are going to fall further, so far, I have put this coat on in up to -10°C and everytime I wear it, I literally sweat! So, I'm sure this is going to keep me warm enough in the -30s and -40s as well! Bring it on, Winters! I'm ready for you!Size-wise, I am an L but had to order a size up because L was not available at the time and I really liked this coat so had to get it! It was more like love at first sight! Moreover, for additional layers when the temperature falls further, I'm going to need that extra room in there. So, not a bad decision to get a bigger size.

I love this coat - the hood can be cinched tighter to protect from cold and high winds, it has a nice fit and I love the inner jacket. My only issue is that while I can normally wear medium, in this coat this size is tight across the shoulders and only thin clothes can be worn underneath. Unfortunately I have to return because of the small fit.
