Q: Can I store snacks and other small items inside the case?

the case is not as spacious as you think

Q: Does this work properly on pc out of the box, or does it require something like xbofs to work properly?

I have not connected the controller to my pc. but I really don’t think you’ll have a problem. I had an older 360 fight stick that would not work I. My series x, but does work on my pc. That’s the j on NHK reason I picked up the new Hori stick.

Q: Can I change the gate on this stick to octagone and circle? if so what brand do I need for the hayabusa stick?

It has a square gate out the box... I was able to change it to Kowal Hayabusa octopus which is an octagon restrictor gate. Maybe other universal gates will work as well, though I haven't given them a try yet myself.
