I am very pleased with this chef hat, which I bought as a Christmas present for my 7-year-old son, who often cooks with his grandma and is a budding chef. If you are wondering about the quality of this hat, let me reassure you: This hat is a quality piece of clothing. The material has a substantial weight, with high-quality cotton that breathes. The pleating is stiff and well-made. The hat's material isn't floppy--when you poof it, the hat stands up poofed on the top, like a chef hat should. My son looks like a little professional chef, which is exactly what I was shooting for. SIZE VERSITILITY: Hat features a little flap with Velcro, so it's adjustable: it can fit a child or an adult. I bought as a gift for my pizza making friend. It's perfect! Has a velcro size adjuster. The fabric feels expensive. Wear it straight up or flopped over.

I got bored with the same hat and wanted something with a little more personality. This hat Velcros at the back so you can wear it to stay on good, but it's not too tight at all. If you have long hair, it can go up in a ponytail and since it's floppy, it doesn't look weird. The only thing that may concern some (not me) is that when you take off your apron, whatever way you styled the hat is messed up. But, after a few wears and looking in the mirror, I know how to pull it where I know it doesn't look dorky. I love that you can play with any look you want! It's made well and washes good. Will buy again!!

I ordered four of these for the four in my family who cook. I also got each person an apron. These hats are perfect. Basically, this is a fun Christmas add on for us. So, probably won't use them every day but our family loves to cook and I thought this would add some fun. The hats are well made, good quality, and there is velcro in the back to adjust the size. Our family has larger heads than most people so I tried one on when they arrived just to check fit. It had a wide range of adjustability which is perfect. It will fit my 10 year old, all the way up to my husband. Great find!

I bought this hat for dress-up/dramatic play in our play kitchen, so here's my review from a parent's perspective: Quality: This hat is very well made. I would even recommend it for a preschool classroom - it seems that durable. I also appreciate the fact that it's machine washable. Size: The label says "one size fits all" and that's a true statement here. The velcro makes it resizable to fit either a child or an adult. It adjusts to hit both my 4-year old daughter and me and my husband just fine. We get a lot of laughs out of it. Dress up clothes can be ridiculously expensive so it's nice to get a high quality item for a decent price.
