OREIOREI Grounded Universal 2 in 1 Plug Adapter Type I for Australia, New Zealand and More

used this in Argentina on vacation. Packed in suitcase in its small box that just contains it, opened box for first time in Buenos Aires. Plugged (120V-240V compliant) laptop power supply into the US plug end, and plugged the other side into a wall socket. It worked, no problems. Workmanship seems good, and of course it worked. Did I mention that it worked?

We took three of these to New Zealand for our group of 4 and they came in very handy. They are nice because you can pluc in two devices at once and it can handle a 3-prong grounded plug. Remember that they are adapters and not converters. You CANNOT use these adapters for devices that are rated for up to 110 only. Read the small print on your devices and chargers before you use it so you don't fry your device and the adapter. Most chargers these days can handle up to 240 Watts but you need to check to be sure. You may need a magnifying device to read the small, nearly microscopic print on your charger or device to be sure. DO NOT USE it for a hairdryer unless the hairdryer handles up to 240 Watts and you have changed its setting to handle the higher wattage.

We used these in China hotels without issue. But note that a 3 prong outlet is required, and many homes are two prong in China. These are also not compatible with polarized plugs. Look for polarized, and 2 prong if you are travelling to that region.

All hotels in Argentina will work with this adapter. It is also possible that to use the much smaller Australia adapter which has just the two slanted prongs in many hotels. However this adapter held better to the wall and held my Charger which has 2 USB ports better in place. FYI: A few hotels in Argentina also have a modified switch where you can use the 2 prong European adapter so it is not a bad idea to bring that adapter along if you have several items to charge.

Works perfectly

US plugs typically have one prong that is larger than the other. This adaptor did not accomodate two US plugs that I tried. I could force one into the top, but neither fit the side receptacle. Beware also that this plug cannot be returned even though the Amazon web site said free returns (at least for a Prime customer, which I am). I have recently found that the free returns claim does not hold for many orders. The reason given is that they are outside vendors, but the implications of that for free returns are not obvious when a purchase is made.

I have been using these for years. I have several. They are great! Works like a charm. Love the double plug. I can use one for my computer and phone chargers.Get a few. They are worth it.

These are fairly good for what they are (plug, not voltage, adapters). When I ordered them, however, there was quite a delay in shipping and then ended up coming about 8 days later than anticipated, which was a very close call as we were about to leave the country. I purchased them for use in Australia and they are work well in most settings but buyers should be aware that the plugs in Australia are round and so when one tries to use an extension lead, for instance, they don't always fit. Still I give them three stars since they work pretty well in most settings.
