Overall a good unit and love the built in controller and color display.
Like this mid drive better than wheel based motors. Installed on a 2018 Rocky Mountain Fusion 10 (29” wheels) and had a real issue with the threaded bottom cartridge. I had to grind out the bottom bracket between theaded ends to permit the Bafang unit to slip through. After hours of work, got it done and all whent smoothly. C18 display is easy to used and the bike is fast. Don’t see why you would use the brake switches as the motor stops when you stop pedaling and release accellerator. Maybe some people brake while accelerating, go figure. Battery HL 48v 17ah is 8.8 lbs and motor with sprocket is 9.2 lbs. makes a mountain bike just under 50 lbs.
