Son of a Sailor

I have been a big GBS fan for well over a decade. I was looking forward to this release and I was pleased to purchase it via Amazon. The music must be excellent, I like the overall feeling and sound of the songs. HOWEVER, the Amazon MP3 download copy is terribly over-driven in several of the songs and I am going to try to get my money back. Also, I was unable to find a way to contact Sean and/or his production company to alert them of this problem. The music is likely to be excellent. The quality of this MP3 version is, sadly, sorely lacking.

I'm not sure what I think of this title. I certainly don't like it as much as his cd of lullabies. I think that I'll need to listen to it in different seasons and see if it's me or the music. It does not strike me as in keeping with the melodic Sean McCann sound. Honestly don't know if I like it or not...

Once again, Mr. McCann has created a wonderful listening experience for the music lover. I was very much impressed with his first solo effort, Lullabies For Bloodshot Eyes and feel that he has reached another level of accomplishment with this collection. Not only does he have an amazing vocal range, but his songs have a way of speaking to you. Some put a smile on your face, while others tug at your heart. Well worth a listen.
