I am somewhat conflicted regarding this filter. It’s designed and constructed very well but does not work with Bluzzo brand fountains. But that’s my fault for not reading all of the customer reviews before purchasing. Although no such warning or conditions are noted by the seller.The drainage is very slow even with the pump on the lowest setting. The result is an overflow of water. I’ve found that if I cut open the filter, remove the internal filter packets, and completely remove the rounded external portion,that the single layer of filter works fine but I won’t be purchasing them again.I give the filter 4 stars because in the process of deconstructing it I am left impressed with the quality of design and construction. I am withholding one star because I don’t know how well it would work in another brand fountain. It did not work in my Bluzzo fountain and caused an overflow.

I've looked at the generic that look exactly the same however I continuously order these because I can trust how they're made and what they are made of. They work well. I only have one cat and I use spring water in the fountain. I tried to use distilled, he won't drink it. I replaced these only once a month so a 12 pack lasts a year. When it's time to replace it, it still looks really good and it's still working.
