unique and doable ideas
Loved this book - not only did it present new and unique ideas, but they were realistic and doable, which is something that is often missing in other similar books with idealistic ideas that aren't doable in real world situations. Great pictures too...

Don't think he missed a thing...
Excellent book, excellent format, excellent pics. I'd have to read it a second and third time just to absorb it all, and read it a fourth and fifth time to figure out if he missed anything. What an EXCELLENT reference - especially for when you think you've done everything and run out of ideas on what else you could do to squeeze more productivity out of your Bio-Integrated Farm. Really well thought out.

This is a great book. I read a review about in on the Temperate Climate Permaculture site. I was impressed with the site, so I checked out the book. The author has lived and worked in Santa Cruz, CA, the southeast coast of the US, and the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. He has incorporated many design innovations such as water catchment land features to help catch runoff, inside the greenhouse ponds, seed start trays that float on the pond so you do not have to water them, and harvesting minnows for chicken feed. It will expand your mind.

Not your average book
Excellent source of information that you will not find on YouTube videos or in everyday library books. I don’t spend $40 on a book very often, but for the info/ideas I received from this text, it’s was worth it.

Read from cover to cover
I have read this book from cover to cover and learned so much about placement of ponds for use in heating greenhouses during the winter. Lots of useful information that I am implementing while designing my homestead.

Good for homestead reference and ideas
Awesome book, with tons of ideas and suggestions. Definitely a lot of info, but explained in an easy to follow manner. If you're looking to start a homestead I would suggest picking it up to have on hand and to help plan.

The projects in this book were too ambitious and financially costly to peak my interest. My favourite thing about permaculture is the ease with which it integrates into the natural rhythms. While very clever and possibly quite fun, I couldn't embrace any of these ideas on our farm unless we had unlimited resources and time. Neither of which is generally available to your average farmer. Fun to look at though, no doubt!
