This has put an end to my isolation!!
This little step has become my totally unexpected "never leave home without it" item.I was severely injured in a car accident last year that left me with a broken pelvis and several broken vertebrae. Over time, I had become more and more isolated because leaving the house was too taxing and being upright too difficult. It turns out that this step was a game changer. I discovered that I can be upright for quite awhile IF my feet are flat on the ground. Unfortunately, I seem to have descended from the midget T-Rex species because I have short legs AND short arms so my feet almost never touch the ground on their own accord. This means that there is always a constant pull on my lower back and pelvis, which becomes extremely uncomfortable extremely quickly.I found that this step is perfect for giving me the added depth I need to have my feet flat in almost every occasion. I love that it is light weight and it folds so it is easy to carry from one place to the next and it creates the ideal seating scenario for me once I arrive. It's also really easy to keep clean. All the PTs at my pain program want to know where I got it so they can order some for their other patients with similar issues.Ironically, I almost never use it for what its marketed for - to get in and out of the house or car - and was about to put it in the Goodwill pile when I just happened to try it one day as a footrest, because I'd run out of things to try and rest my feet on.Between this and a chair cushion I found at the dollar store, I now feel like I could go pretty much anywhere. I wish I'd known sooner. I could have saved myself months of isolation and pain!

Great Height for SUV
This foldable stool really came in handy following surgery. It’s sturdy, can be easily stored in vehicle & made getting in & out of our SUV much easier.

Excellent small step stool.
Excellent stool for when you need a small boost near a sink or similar area. Great for kids and shorter adults. This product was also cheaper than anywhere else.

Perfect for my needs
This folding step stool was just the right height! I needed something that would help me reach just a little better and this truly fits the bill. It's well made, sturdy and easy to fold and unfold and fits (folded) standing up behind my bathroom door. I am SO happy with this purchase!

Nice height, but watch the ends.
This has been great to give me that extra few inches when getting into bed. They make mattresses so big/high these days. The one end did break when I accidentally stepped right on the end. It doesn't go to the floor at the ends and along the sides. It doesn't seem to be a problem on the sides but at the ends where it folds the hinge part is only attached by about 1/2 inch so if you step on the end there's no support. There is support right in the middle, there's like a "V" that goes to the floor for support. The ends should go all the way to the floor. I think the only reason it doesn't is for looks anyway. I was able to fix mine enough to keep using it with just duct tape and I did the other end too just to be safe (in case I forget and step on that end - UGH). I also got on of these for the car. I will tape that one up too before I use it.

Portable folding step is EVERYTHING is says it is....It's a keeper!
I own a Subaru Forester which rides a little high - almost like a truck. My 86 year old mother has a bit of trouble stepping up into it. THIS fold up step is EXACTLY the right height to allow her to step up to the seat and swing her legs in. It's not so tall that she will fall stepping up on it....and it's easy to put down, pick up and store for easy, flat access on the floor of the car. Lightweight but VERY sturdy. I would recommend this to ANYONE who has a vehicle that is just a bit higher than the average car and who has, or may have in the future....passengers who need a little 'ooch' getting in. Best money I ever spent!

Absolutely perfect for cars
Some people like me have bad hips and knees and getting in a simple car can be so painful! This small stool is perfect! I can get in the car with way less pain, then grab it, it folds and put on the floor board next to me, very happy great buy!!

Dangerous! Broke after a dozen or so uses.
After approximately 12 uses for handicapped elderly people (weight of users is about 90 to 195 lbs.) to step into and out of our mini-van, the folding center hinges on both ends broke, making it very unstable and dangerous. My less than 100 lb. aunt was using it to climb into the vehicle and I saw it wobbling. Upon examination, I discovered that the upright supports on both ends were swinging freely. The broken hinges could not engage the platform correctly to securely lock into place.I bought this item because it is lightweight, has a convenient built in handle, operates effortlessly, and folds flat, taking little space for storage. At $13.96 (05/30/17), it was competitively priced. I am just very glad I saw the damage before anyone was hurt. If you have this product, exam it closely underneath and make sure nothing is broken. If you do not yet have it, I recommend avoiding this item.I'm outside the 30 day return window, so will write this one off as a loss and thank the good Lord that none of my precious relatives were injured. (I was in too big a hurry for an access solution and should have read the reviews on this one before purchasing.)The design is terrific, but the hinge mechanism is far too light weight and weak!! If that area of the item were strengthened about 300%, I believe it would provide the durable and stable platform needed.Unfortunately, I initially liked this product so well, that I ordered a second one and had it drop shipped to a walker-dependent relative in another state and now I must warn her before she gets hurt. I just hope I'm not too late!!
