What a great pairing this expresso and my kureg.This expresso has a smooth dark taste. No bitterness or jitters. Just a quality bean.

Flavor perfect, price great when on sale, worked great in my new Kerig with 5 holes.

I like that the Black Stag coffee comes in 6 different boxes. I usually order a large box of 70+ k-cups that arrive all in one box. Taking one box out at a time is a touch more convenient than storing and refilling from a large 72 count box. Having individual boxes also allows for gifting and this is a coffee that can easily be gifted. It has a dessert-like taste and coffee shop appeal. The aroma is pleasing and the coffee is full-bodied. It is listed as a medium roast but it tastes like a dark roast and is quite acidic and packs a punch. This may not be the best choice for your morning first cup unless you like to be met with something that is extremely rich, astringent, and powerful first sip. I prefer to have this with dessert or when I need something more to get me through a busy day. My husband also really enjoys the flavor. The caffeine did not make me feel shaky or edgy. The caffeine has an upbeat and happy feel. Overall, it is bound to please those who enjoy dark roasts. If someone likes a mellow and smooth medium roast, this may not likely a good choice. The cups are also recyclable once emptied.

I really like these Black Stag Coffee Espresso Roast, Dark Roast Kcups. I received 6 boxes of 12 K cups. Currently the list price for the espresso roast is $16.98 for the 72 count. That is seriously like half or even less than half the price of most other brand K cups I see for the same amount. I’m not sure if that price will remain that way, but if it does, I think it is a seriously excellent value. I’m actually tempted to just order more now.I have been drinking this every day. Dark roast is always my favorite and I love this. The taste it great- strong, bold, but not burnt or bitter. I tasted it black and it is fine, but I honestly never drink my coffee black. It tastes amazing with my dark chocolate almond creamer. I have seriously have enjoyed every cup.I typically don’t buy pre-made K cups. I have reusable K cups and so I typically just buy coffee in a bag as it is a better value for me. These are awesome though and I do enjoy having pre-made K cups for the occasional convenience or especially for guests.Everything was well-packed and it tastes like a high quality product to me. I would definitely recommend this coffee to others. If it stays the current price it is, then these may be the only pre-made K cups I care to buy. While these pods produce very good coffee, it is little better than supermarket coffee, about the quality of inexpensive coffee-shop coffee. At a discount, it's worth a purchase, but I would not purchase it at retail price.

Black Stag, I love the name. It sounds so modern and hip. Does that make me sound old?! This is our first time trying this brand and we were very impressed with the taste and quality!We normally opt for dark and medium roasts. The Aurora Morning Blend is a light roast so I wasn't sure how well we would like it. I honestly thought it tasted more like a light-medium roast. The taste is light, smooth, and mellow. It isn't bitter or overly acidic at all. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did!The end result is a really delicious tasting cup of coffee. The true test is how well the coffee tastes black with no additional additives. This one can really stand on its own, especially since it's so smooth and light tasting. I actually enjoyed the taste of the coffee black. That normally isn't the case for me, mainly because a lot of the coffee we buy is darker roasts and can be more on the bitter side. This was equally tasty with and without liquid creamer.The extra caffeine boost of a lighter roast is perfect to have on hand for those mornings when I just can't seem to get going! :)

I love that this coffee is fair trade. I am trying to do a better job of looking for quality products that have a sustainable supply chain and this is on my list of keepers. I like the convenience of pods though I will say that I do prefer the compostable pods. While these pods are recyclable, they aren't compostable. That's okay because the fair trade certification offsets that somewhat. At least in my view. The flavor is very good with low acidity and definitely no burnt taste. It is a great cup of coffee for a Kcup. Sometimes I can detect a plastic taste from some of the other pods I've used but these don't have that taste at all. Very pleased with these. I will note that I love the graphic design on the packing which includes a bold drawing of a black stag. Bold, yet with an ever-so-subtle gentleness. Just like the brew.
