As he is going to college this fall, I wanted it to be more than just a simple journal; I wanted it to serve as a keepsake for him. First of all, I ordered many different leather journal covers and then came across this beauty.I am a crazy planner lady and use a Hobonichi Techo Cousin in the a5 size. I like unique and durable. I was looking for a soft genuine leather cover for my 2024 planner.At first I didn’t think it would fit, meaning it would be too small for the binder but it actually fit perfectly and I have a little room for the “fluff” that most paper planners experience after being lived in throughout the year.I am very pleased. It smells amazing. Looks durable. The cover feels like butter. It’s unique and it’s beautiful! And to top it off, it came well packaged.I ordered the “Nude” color but they had other colors as well.Again, just gorgeous!

I gave this as a gift and it comes in a lovely box then wrapped once in tissue paper. It is a beautiful presentation. The leather is beautiful and more than I hoped. The paper is appropriately thick and has a sepia coloring. It adds warmth but is not overwhelming or distracting. It could be used as a sketch book or a writing journal.It’s tradition that I buy my daughter a journal every year for her birthday. (23 years old) That tradition needs to change a bit as I could never find a more beautiful and practical journal than this. Now she can just file away the inserts and save money and space. Now I need to find something else to go with it but what an excellent problem to have…My only issue is one year later as I am writing this I am trying to find the refill in the same paper. Amazon does not sell the sepia colored paper from this maker on their site. I could probably find a regular notebook to put in but it would loose it’s charm and no only needs a bunch of covers laying around. Hopefully they will read this and contact me? Still stand by it as a great gift!

What a really nice journal. The leather is great. The strap seems sturdy. The paper in thejournal is heavy weight. A great value for the money. Highly recommend.

I have a thing for journals,This one is my absolute favourite.I only wished that you could order the vintage look paper as a refill.

The leather seems to be quality and as advertised. I immediately ordered a new paper insert, however. The paper that comes with this is thick and sturdy, but the appearance (the textured, irregular look with slight variations in color and shade) is literally printed on; is not a quality of the paper at all. Furthermore, it is exactly the same on every page, with no pattern variation. It’s like they took one picture of a piece of handmade parchment then printed it a couple hundred times and folded it into a book. You end up writing on a kinda glossy printed surface instead of raw paper. That all sort of ruined the magic for me. Again, leather is solid, but you may want different paper.

Only down side I forgot to tick gift wrap so the delivery label was attached to the gift,.Removing the label damaged the gift box.for the price your paying My only suggestion would be include gift wrap so as not to damaged gift boxWould definitely purchase again
