Not just another budget LED
This light is a bit different than others in this price range, and it represents a good value. The driver is not dimmable, but the design instead allows you to easily place the driver outside of your grow area. This is a great trade-off for a light of this wattage, as it allows you to move the largest heat source outside of your tent for easier environmental control. Dimming a 100w light isn't nearly as useful as saving that amount of heat, in my opinion, since you can usually move the light up or down to control intensity well enough in this power range. The remote driver also makes the board very light and easy to hang. This board also has added IR diodes which are rare for a light at this price point. I noticed immediately that my medicinal tomatoes were praying harder and happier looking in the mornings with this added wavelength. The OSRAM diodes are at least as bright if not more so than other boards I own with Samsung diodes. This light has no problem lighting up a small tent on its own but really shines when you double them up. They are so inexpensive that multiples allow you to really fill a grow space with light, have flexibility if your canopy is not perfectly even, and keep alot of heat out of the tent since the drivers aren't mounted to the boards. I can recommend Unit Farm lights without reservation.

Great light for the price my plants love it.
Good veg light for sure. It's an actual 160 watts from the wall and when it heats up goes to about 171 watts from the wall 2 hrs later.Being able to keep the driver outside of the tent is huge for people with heat issues and they provided a long enough cord that you have some wiggle room where you can keep it. With the driver outside the tent the light board doesn't get super hot but your still producing heat just way less.I had the light vegging 5 plants in a 5x5 tent and the clones did really well. I now have the light in a 2x4 tent flowering and they are doing well. The factory says will flower a 3x2 area so I will probably add a little light in the tent but so far in day 15 of flower I've had good stretch wall to wall without the Xtra light. So maybe 2 plants in a 2x4 would be best for it.The Only thing I don't like about the light is it has no dimmer and 160 to 170 watts for seedlings is a.bit much even at 3 feet away. I have multiple other lights and if a few things were changed a dimmer added a more accurate actual wattage statement I would say for the price this light would be a great addition to anyone's grow room. I know for a fact it's a great veg light I'm 15 days into flower I'll be back with more pics when she's done.

Great buy! You won't be upset!
The media could not be loaded. What can't I say about this light! My plants love this light. The set up from box to tent took maybe 5 minutes total. That has to be the quickest, most simple set up. From there I was a little nervous because this unit is VERY THIN. But, to my surprise this light packs a punch and radiates minimal heat on the top. I can physically touch this light on top and be fine. In the video you can see my plastic child's toy. It has been there since day one. No melting, and still stiff. :) This light is BRIGHT and being full-spectrum is a deal maker. I do a lot of low to high stress training and needed a light that makes my plants turn back up and grow strong. This light does it for me. I have 3 other big name brand lights and this UFL 3000 is out performing them!

So far, am pleased.
The (3x3) light arrived well packaged, feels quite sturdy, and was easy to set up using a simple, homemade (pvc pipe) hanging bar that sits on the table with the seed trays. I confess that the light was much brighter than I expected...great for the plants, but of concern for the eyes of both myself and especially for my dogs since they are shorter than the level of the actual lights. So I made a makeshift screen with cardboard to protect their eyes. I say this NOT to discourage anyone, but just as something to think about any LED system when setting things up at home.Functionally, I like its silence. It’s lightweight and easy to handle. My only “complaint” is that it doesn’t have an on/off switch...a definite ‘1st world’ problem! And probably is in the information provided...and plugging/unplugging is hardly difficult to do. I am just now getting some germination of seeds planted 1/31, so it is too early to evaluate how well the plants like it; my primary purpose is to grow healthy, robust seedlings for transplanting outdoors. I also hope to give houseplants some extra light, especially during the winter months. Because these lights need to be further away from the light source, it should not be difficult to manage.I am glad of the 3 year warranty, as this is replacing a 2-foot, 4-bulb T5 fixture that failed unacceptably fast. And even though it has a Much smaller footprint, it covers a significantly larger area, increasing the number of plants I can start at a time.

Sure grows peppers well
I bought this grow light for pepper seedlings, because the previous led grow light I had was just not cutting it for the number of plants I was growing. This (pictured) setup is ~2.5'x1.5' and the grow light is just about 12" above the top of the planting bed. This was not really by design (the recommended setup is like a 2' square and the light a little higher above) but just happened to be the dimensions of the 'storage' shelf I was using to grow these. The setup fit 3x72 well seedling planters. All the seedlings seemed to get plenty of light, many of them that had been getting a little leggy with my earlier, less powerful grow light became just fine with this setup. The light runs kinda hot - not 'burn to the touch' but definitely a little more than 'warm'. This actually kind of works out for me, since I wanted the area around the peppers to be a little warmer than it was previously in the room, without cranking the thermostat for the whole house. It might not work that way for you, but it was kind of helpful for me. Overall, I have had no complaints about the light, I think it does a wonderful job for seedlings. I think most of you are growing ... 'other' plants, but can't comment on your social deviancy (but I hope it does work out for you too)

Excellent Grow Lights - Perfect to build a Grow Stand...
These grow lights are incredible and they are very slim and fit perfectly in the 11 tier bamboo plants stand I also purchased on Amazon - These lights can easily and very securely be installed into various applications and plant stands - See pictures. - Still setting this up but it gives you ideas if you have a green thumb.I have several orchids and they all seem to thrive under these lights and they are strong enough to assist with the development of kiki's or perfect clone of the main plant. I did use a little hormone but feel the lights had the most benefit. I got a kiki about a month - I've also had new orchids that where already flowering that formed new flower spikes...very impressed with the growing results - Very bright too...Having these lights will let me branch out into other orchids that I normally couldn't grow because I don't have full sun - - -but I do now....Anyways, if your looking to create a small or large growing stand, these lights are excellent and they are very easy to incorporate into you indoor garden setup. The transformers are designed to be removed from the light fixture, so you have a very flat surface to work with and ample slots on each corner of the fixture to tie it down or up...or hang. I used electrical "zip ties" on each corner to fit them perfectly under each shelf - I need 2 more but am going to see if I can do without...for now.I would definitely buy these again - - I've actually purchased 6 of them already now over the course of a few months. Very pleased - - -I was asked to rate the "timer" function on the units but as far as I know, these don't have a timer -The only thing I would change - - each light has it's own independent plug for the wall, so if you have 4 lights installed, you need 4 outlets or a powerbar works. I do have a timer for the power bar but it would be great if they could be inter-connected - - but this is really not a big deal This unit is the smallerof the units - the size up for $20 bucks more (which i tried and had to return because there were VERY bright - too bright for my purpose but just as excellent as these) - -these are also priced well and I can see them lasting for a long time.I'll post an update down the road once everything is setup.

Very bright , very light, perfect for your little indoor garden.
It's extremely bright , and very light and perfect fit for short spaces plus no heat . Only 100 watt usage for this illumination is impressive. The only thing is that I wish it would have had an on/off switch along the power cord somewhere or on the panels . and a timer would have been nice as well . You have to plug and unplugge it directly from the outlet every time .

My plants love Unit Farm LED! Great price, high quality!
My plants love this light! They've only been under it 60 hours and new growth has propogated abound. It's like having a mini sun as brightness goes, but gives off surprisingly a very small amount of heat. The aluminum heat sink is only slightly warm to touch after having the light on for hours.Fits perfectly in my 2x2x4ft tent and will work for all stages by using the yoyo ropes to move the light at different stages. Was easy to setup in matter of minutes and the long cord is especially helpful to keep the driver out of the tent to control temperature.Overall, I'm very impressed with Unit Farm's product. Great price! High quality! Highly recommended! Will surely look to Unit Farm the next time I upgrade my light. Thanks!
