Just the shoes I needed
I received and have been wearing these shoes for six days now. I didn't have a problem wearing them right from the start - I wore them the first day all day! However, on the morning of days 2 and 3 my left heel and right calf were a bit sore (not too sore, just felt a bit sore). I chalked that up to the shoes doing what they are supposed to be doing, namely, straightening out the way I stand and walk. Now that I have worn the shoes for almost a week, I don't notice any soreness. They are super comfortable, even for all day wear. The arch support is great. I have never had a pair of shoes with such good arch support. I'm glad that I bought these shoes. I cannot wear heels of any kind any more because of a torn meniscus in my left knee. Most women's flat shoes have no support or padding and that ends up hurting my knee as well and making my feet ache at the end of the day. These shoes are great. I'm sure I will be ordering another pair. BTW, I normally wear a size 7.5 B width. I ordered the size 7 and they fit well. They are a bit wider than I expected, but I have gotten used to them. I wear them with socks as it's colder outside now.

the answer for plantar faciatis and back ache
well I can't say enough about these shoes. I bought as a pair to wear in my home as I am on my feet all day (I do daycare for a living). I have had plantar faciatis for 1 year now in both feet. I can not not have something on m y feet or I would not be able to work. Within 1 hour of having these shoes I know longer am able to wear what I was wearing (and I thought they were helping me). I didn't even need to break in because my feet quit hurting instantly.. I was about to have laser or prolotherapy on my feet in order to get relief but since I have these I am not going to have to spend the money. I figure 1 pair of shoes at 80 was a lot cheaper than the doctoring that I was going to have to pay for out of my pocket not to mention. I am now looking for a pair of tennis shoes also because my asics no longer will do since my feet are used to these vionics now. I am so excited to say the least. I will be telling everybody about these for sure. oh, and my back doesn' t hurt as bad anymore either.

and I find these shoes very comfortable and supportive
I have arthritic knees and a pronating right ankle, and I find these shoes very comfortable and supportive, even though they don't have high sides. the deep heel cup really helps support my bad ankle, and its kind of like wearing slippers! Note that the sizes seem to run large - I usually wear a 9.5 or a 10, but a 9 in this mule fits me perfectly. This is my second pair, both pairs are 9s, and both fit me perfectly. My one criticism is that the buckled strap is a bit long. In my older pair I've already had to punch a new hole in the strap to tighten it, and the end of the strap is now almost at ground level. So, although the strap can be tightened as it stretches over time, it makes it a bit too long on the buckle side. Might have to go to a shoe repair shop to have it shortened if I want to tighten it more...

Great fit, but "black" is really brown.
This is the second pair I've ordered. Perfect fit for me, great arch support. After a lot of wear they can get a bit loose but I just put on heavier socks. I've ordered black, but in no way are these black... they are a brown. I wish they came in a true black. They make them in a black suede, called Lydia, with a different pattern. Oh well!

I suffer from Plantar Fasciitis and these are great all-around shoes.
I had a pair of these before but a different design on the toe portion of which I had to eventually dispose of as the black leather was cracking and peeling off. These look very nice and fit just like any other Orthaheel/Vionic shoe. The other mule I had previously did cause some foot discomfort if I wore them for a lot of walking, so I am hoping this shoe will be more comfortable as the foot portion seems to have been improved somewhat. I have worn these for a couple of weeks now and they are comfortable. These shoes are great for work as well as casual. Working in the healthcare setting, it is required to wear closed toe shoes so these fit the bill yet give me the convenience of a slip-on. Overall, I recommend these shoes as they provide the much needed support for Plantar Fasciitis. I have yet to find any negative issues now with Orthaheel brand shoes.

The perfect shoe
We have been looking for an attractive shoe for my mother who has multiple issues with her feet. I figured we would try these since they were Vionic and super cute. They are perfect. The toe box is roomy, support is great and the best part is the open back since my mom has issues with her heels. She is so happy with these shoes. We are just waiting to get a few more pairs in different colors!

Wish they had half sizes
I have a pair of Vionic open-toed slippers in a 7 that I absolutely love because I have plantar fasciitis and they really help the pain. I saw these and wanted a pair so I could wear them to work. I normally wear a 7/12 or an 8, depending on the shoe. Neither shoe offered half sizes, so I ordered the slipper in a 7 because one review said that they run big and to order down. The slippers were so comfy and fit perfectly!! Well, when it came time to order the shoes, I ordered a 7 as well. WRONG. The closed toe made the shoe just a tad too short, and my heel was up against the back. I returned them and ordered an 8. The 8 is a little too big and when I walk it sounds like I'm wearing flip-flops. They're comfy enough, though, and I kept them. Also, they ARE NOT leather, as the description says. They are all man-made materials, so if you have a sweaty foot problem, these are not the shoes for you.

Darling comfy shoe runs very large
I love these shoes, and wear them nearly every day they are sooooo comfortable and easy to get on quickly. The only issue I have is that the size I bought 8 (I always measure an 8.5 or 9 shoe) is STILL a bit LARGE on me. Vionic never gets this right. The strap is on it's tightest setting, and I have a High Arch! and I wish I could tighten more so that they didn't "flip flop" a bit Next time I will order a 7 , which is 1 1/2 sizes smaller than my REAL size measured on a foot scale. Just so you know, go down 1 or 1 1/2 sizes. The color is dark charcoal, not black. I get many compliments from my friends because of the darling cut outs on these Mary Janes.
