Handwriting Analysis: The Complete Basic Book

When I was in high school and college, I had a small book about handwriting analysis and learned about it. Later on I lost that book and began my search here on Amazon for a new handwriting book. Since I was very particular about which book I prefered. it took me weeks to find this book....so gladcthat I found it! This book I found is excellent for beginners to experienced people in the art of handwriting analysis. What I especially like about this book is the many illustrations/examples of different handwritings. The author really explains every aspect in handwriting. One more thing...before I purchased this in paperback form, I tried the Kindle sample, however, the illustrations were smaller and mkre difficult to see. Since this book was written in pre Kindle days, the Kindle book looked different, like it was scanned. Overalll, a very helpful book, I like it much better than other habdwriting books I read. Highly recommended!

I am an earnest investigator of myself -- I wish to know myself, for the unexamined life is not worth living. This has been an incredible tool for the scientific expansion my self-understanding (and self-vindication...). If you want to really find out how other people see you, if you really want an investigative look into yourself, if you want a clear-as-crystal mental map of your character, HANDwrite a journal over months, a year, multiple years. Then buy this book and look at what you find. I did. OMG. On target. Every. Freakin'. Time. When I was feeling dejected, powerless, empowered, investigating "taboo" topics, writing personal theories about mathematical universes, you name it. I used this book to discover about me. If you want to know the secret mental life of a person, get a hold of a long-term record of handwriting. If you do it for yourself, you'll be blown away!

Its a pretty old book, published in 1980, but its contents are still relevant in today's context. I also purchased Michelle Dresbold's "Sex, Lies & Handwriting" and borrowed from my local library "Handwriting Analysis: How to make it work for you" by Andrea McNichol. On comparison of the three, Miss Dresbold's book is more like an introduction that really gets your interest in the subject, but her outstanding analysis of Jack the Ripper really got me interested in the subject (one that the other 2 books do not provide)! Miss Dresbold also highlights more lucidly the characteristics of certain dangerous traits that exists in the handwriting of people, which might provide clues to a dangerous person. Miss McNichol's book is more like a step by step process of guiding the reader into handwriting analysis; like a school syllabus, which makes for great reading for a first timer, and in fact one would be quite adept at Handwriting Analysis once finished. This book, by Miss Amend and Miss Ruiz... I would describe it as similar to a manual, with the greatest detail and least "introduction paragraphs" and contains the most amount of sample signatures by famous people. However, it does not highlight to the reader what stuff to look out for in people; the book draws equality to all handwriting characteristics with little embellishments. On a personal note, with so much SMS and email going on today, handwriting is probably quite underestimated and overlooked as a tool. Also, I'm not sure if handwriting analysis can apply to cultures that also has other written forms of language, which might 'interrupt' any rules of handwriting analysis as depicted in all three books. These cultures include the Chinese (Chinese Characters focuses on strokes), Indian (particularly rounded handwriting), Thai... etc. Still, all three books are definitely one to keep!

Very well done and the pages in the back of the book help to organize interpretations, and easy to understand.

I first encountered this book years ago, and it sparked a lifelong interest and fascination with handwriting analysis. I own several others on the subject, but none are as informative and interesting as this one. It's the one I always come back to, the one that intrigued me from day one, and continues to do so indefinitely. Great book, the one to get.

I’ve read a few books and material on handwriting analysis over the years and found this one very good. One every parent should have to see any clues of maturity of their children as they develop and to catch when things are going array with them.

I have absolutely zero training and background in this field. I originally purchased this book in print and I have to stay it was eerily accurate in analyzing my ex wife. Being a person who likes to know the inside scoop on people I interact with via spoken word, body mannerisms, having yet another data point is immensely valuable. Another valuable lesson out of this book is that your handwriting will change based on mood of the moment, and how to interpret mood. THAT, is another gold nugget in my own hand written book. I recently cleared out all of my physical books and this is one that I purchased for my kindle.

So that you won't be tempted to change your normal handwriting, write two paragraphs before beginning to read the book. You will discover more of yourself that way. I then began to collect hand writing samples of my own. I was very pleased with the numerous examples that illustrated certain tendencies.Initially I ordered the book to help me discover the differences between two French author's original handwritten manuscripts. As a graphic artist who makes marks and a professor who teaches drawing, I was very excited to see an author explain the marks that we humans make. I highly recommend this book Kent C. Rucker

Very clear and well organized, good book for beginners, to have a general idea and start analyzing handwriting. The layout for analysis at the end is very helpful.

Am besten gefiel mir in diesem Buch die Spannbreite von Schreibweisen des englischen "I" für "ich". Viele Unterschriftenbeispiele von Prominenten zeigen, wie weit man von der Schulvorlage abweichen und dennoch leserlich signieren kann. Mit graphologischen Thesen hadere ich, aber die Schriftbeispiele fand ich in optischer und schreibstrategischer Hinsicht sehr aufschlussreich.

Ce livre est vraiment bien pour débuter dans la graphologie. Il est passionnant, bien écrit, et l'on comprend (presque) tout.

One of the best graphology books for beginners.

Before buying this book I was worried that it might be one of those theoretical, difficult to get through works, however it turned out to be very specific and packed full of examples. I've analysed my handwriting and found this very accurate indeed! Really excellent.
