not his best , but his last :(
been an ultra avid fan since the 1970/80's . Vangelis pretty much shaped my life , my hero. This is the last pure album he worked on with a view to release it as he very sadly passed away may2022 :( ..Album is a little more structured compared to so other recent releases...and its very much recent vangelis styling compare to the 70s 80s 90s, hes has this syle for 20+ yrs and its not as changing as his earlier works , but this is what it is. i hoped this cd was gonna blow me away , but it didnt .. its ok to put on now and then ..but not a masterpiece compare to some of his earlier work. 3 out of 5

Another magical album from Vangelis
Vangelis is one of my all-time favourite musicians but some of his albums are a little quirky or repetitive as he strains in the space of always trying to be highly original and cutting-edge as a true artist. The great Greek composer's new work Juno to Jupiter is one of his best outer space albums. I agree with one of the reviewers, for example, that it is superior to his 2016 work Rosetta. In this new piece, Vangelis succeeds in being melodic and innovative while evoking the "out of this world" dimensions of Space Age music. The vocals of soprano singer Angela Gheorghiu blend seamlessly with the electronic soundscape to produce remarkably timeless yet contemporary music. The composer has written a profound tribute to space exploration in the album notes - a precious aspect of this product. Long live the priceless musical gifts of Vangelis!

Difficult 103rd Album
There are many versions of Vangelis. Soundtracks, avant garde, experimental and of course the electronica. This is clearly Classical Vangelis. And this is his most ambitious and accomplished classical composition. Symphonic, grand and intricate. Opera singing and swirling spacescapes. Great music, but not any tunes you will find yourself whistling in the bath.

Space and Divinity in Perfect Harmony
In the notes to this album soprano Angela Gheorghiu describes Vangelis' music as 'space and divinity in perfect harmony'. What a wonderfully apposite description! The music here is sensitive, grandiose, moving and exhilarating in equal turns - sublimely spiritual musical transportation from an artistic genius, musical pioneer and a true original.Bravo Vangelis!
