This is NOT the original Charlie nor is it even close to the OG. Charlie was easy to wear. Charlie Blue is not. Blue is a chypre, which means it has musk, patchouli, citrus and moss. It's very earthy and reminiscent of classic and vintage fragrances of the previous century. It is a dry chypre with synthetic musks that can feel a bit buzzy. It reminds me of a very dry champagne or a dry martini. It's sour in a good way and is much too sophisticated to be sold at such a low price point. It's a wonderful reminder of the 70s but not for those who like the sickly sweet gourmands of today. If you like the original Paloma Picasso or Estee Lauder's Aromatics Elixir you will find enjoyment wearing this little beauty.
