Alpha X Radar, Laser and GPS Speed Camera & Red Light Camera Detector Inc Mobile Laser Detection

I needed to replace my out-of-date gadget but didnt fancy paying a cut price for the much-promoted Road Angel Pure, simply because I did not want to pay for an expensive updating service. I am very pleased with it. It is accurate, telling me I'm over the speed limit when I reach 70mph exactly. (The best way to stop it annoying me on motorways is to set my cruise control to 69mph). It spots cameras pretty well, and warns me of lower speed limits well in advance. Very pleased.

Avoid - this unit only picked up some of the cameras and missed about 20 percent of them. Well built unit and it worked well for the cameras that were installed a long time ago, modern ones which were installed over 2 years ago weren’t highlighted at all. I was really disappointed as the reviews rated this highly, calls into question how accurate and unbiased Amazon reviews really are!

Easy to use just plug and play, gives good warnings of speed trap areas, gives warnings of speed cameras 600 meters out and counts down in meters if the camera is active. Also verbally and visually tells you the speed of the road and your current speed. And picks up mobile speed traps 400 - 600 meters out depending on terrain. Im delighted with this. Its absolutely worth the money.

I've had this unit now for exactly 1 year and have carried out updates quite a few times. The unit is built well and has a solid feel to it. Does it pick up fixed speed cameras, most of the time but also picks up speed cameras that are no longer in use or have been taken away. also on some journeys whilst on an dual carriageway overpass it will pick up speed cameras on the roads below. My sole reason for purchasing this unit was not necessarily to pick up fixed speed cameras but for mobile ones i.e. vans and cars using lasers. Not once has it picked up a mobile speed camera van/car therefore reflects on my rating for the unit. Would I recommend, if you are happy for the unit just to pick up fixed cameras then yes it will do that....most of the time but I surmise the majority of people like myself know where the majority of fixed cameras are, if you are after a unit that picks up mobile lasers then I would certainly NOT recommend.

it is a good quality product but upon having purchased it, it made me realise that i only ever really drive to work and back and i know all of the police hiding spots and the location of the speed cameras so it is pointless me having it. it worked well but noticed that when i was driving through a village to my local shop it would tell me that there is a speed watch zone one way but on the way back it wouldnt tell me. sometimes a bit hit and miss but worked quite well when it wanted to. sent it back for a full refund and received it within 2 days. one thing i will add is that the wire is a brilliant length. i have a new m235i so it is fairly long and weirdly, my front 12v port didnt like it so i had to feed the wire all the way through the car. it was long enough to tuck it under the trims of the car so you couldnt see it and have it come up on the dash still.

locates all cameras etc. however speed limits for the roads are all over the place, 30mph in 20mph zones, 30 in 40s etc. database needs seriously updating.

with the lockdown i have not really tested it but short journeys it seems pretty good it warns you in a known camera zone if you are over the speed limit, and also if under tells you how fast you are going .very impressed with it

JUST GOT THIS ON THE21/01/21 WNT OUT TO TEST IT BOY IT PICKS ALL CAMMERS UP YU CAN SET THE SPEED AND CAMMERS WARNIG AND PICKS UP VANS HOT SPOTS REALY GOODJUST ONE THING THE STICKY ON DASH IS NO GOOD I USED DUDDEL SIDE VELCRO ON THE DASH
