TrofoPlan Greek Kalamata Olives, Pack of 2 x 200 g (Total: 400 g)

While I found the green olives from this brand a bit hard, these black olives are soft, tasty, full of flavour and very moreish. Perfect for adding to salads and cooking, or for snacking. The vacuum packs mean these keep till you open them (you'll need to decant once opened, of course), and a reasonable price for two packs. I'd buy these again.

Having tried some interestingly flavoured olives from TrofoPlan before, it was interesting to taste a more conventional take on olive presentation, and it met my expectations. These are ‘real’ olives if you like, with an organic and slightly earthy taste that hasn’t been washed out or diluted by preservatives- very much the proper rich taste of good quality and authentic Greek olives.With the pits intact, chewing them is quite a hearty and satisfying experience, and you can roll them about in your mouth for quite a while, savouring the flavour and sucking on them almost like a sweet, for quite a while before it’s time for the pits to come out (and another olive to go in!).I’m not a big fan of the presentation. Though the olives themselves feel premium, the packaging, though quite “farm shop”-ish, leaves a little bit to be desired thanks to its ugly plastics sealed with metal staples and so on. I don’t mind paying extra for quality product, which is the case here, but I would hope for a high packaging quality to match, and that doesn’t seem to be the case unfortunately.They’re far from the cheapest way to buy olives, but if you are willing to shell out for authentic flavours, then that’s what these packs provide. I’m knocking one star off for the packaging though.

These are nice if you can stomach the price tag. They're definitely a nice one off thing for a dinner party or something.The flavour is phenomenal.

These are delicious! Plump, flavourful Kalamata olives. I ate six as soon as I opened the packet! I love them with hummus and pickles or in a Greek salad. These are as good an olive as I have had and I really enjoy them. I store them in an old peanut butter jar and they keep a while, although I eat so many each time, they don't get a chance to age.... Totally recommend.

These Kalamata Olives by TrofoPlan are exceptional and by far one of the best brands I have tried for olives. I love that these olives arrive vacuum packed with a long shelf life. This means that unopened they will stay fresh and delicious for months.As for the taste, I felt that they were incredibly well balanced. The olives won’t need dressing when being served as they are already ‘marinated’ in olive oil. I this olive oil adds an even more richness to the olives. I loved the light bitterness and earthy aftertaste which really set this olives quality apart from the supermarket brands I would typically purchase. It would’ve been nice if the stones of the olives were removed for the price, though these Greek Kalamata olives taste and quality for sure makes up for it. Taste good and comes in 2 packages, perfect for an appetizer

These are some really flavoursome olives and the taste is super strong. I found them much stronger than the usual supermarket bought olives. They are supplied vacuum sealed to keep the freshness in and I found them absolutely delicious.They do have stones in them and have also been stored in a brine, vinegar and extra virgin olive oil mix. This liquid mix is not as sharp as a 100% brine mix and I found it perfectly edible when on the olives.A lovely lunch or dinner side or ideal for a cheeky little snack bowl.
