Great for peripheral neuropathy, no pressure on the toes, top or sides. My old ones were more than 10 years old and the foot bed was compressed, not much cushioning left. These are like walking on clouds again. It's easy to get a custom fit in front by adjusting the Velcro closure, not as good a fit in back, but I just wear them around the house or out to get the mail. I can easily slip into them even in the dark. Based on my old ones (exactly the same), they never needed to be washed for appearance or odor reasons. Of course the rest of the time I wear natural fiber socks with my shoes, not acrylic/polyester/nylon synthetic, so my feet never smell bad to stink up the slippers. If you put them on after taking off your nylon hose, your mileage may vary, and I don't know how to wash them were they to ever need it. I guess if you were ever to be ready to throw them out you could run them through a cold load and air dry, you'd have nothing to lose.

I had a surgery that went bad. These shoes are a miracle to me. I have a really painful foot, and it swells by evening. I can't say enough good about these. I read the reviews, and comments. It is on the heavier side because of the soles, but that's okay. The sole keeps me from falling again, and they aren't heavy enough to be uncomfortable for me. They enable me to walk.

This slippers are awesome! We keep our house pretty cool so I like to wear slippers that have a shoe-like base all day long, both for warmth and to add cushion for walking on tile/hardwood floors. I had some Brookstone slippers I loved, but they kept my feet so warm that they would start sweating so I would have to take them off. Then I would go through this viscous cycle of cold/hot feet. Also, no surprise, the slippers started to smell! When I saw these on Amazon and read the other reviews, I knew this was the perfect solution! The peep-toe allows my feet to breathe but still keeps them nice and toasty. The slippers took a little breaking in to become comfortable but after three days of breaking in, I never want to take them off!

I bought a pair one year ago for my Mother who has to wear an AFO due to a stroke. That pair did not last. I recently got another pair because she really likes them. Today is TWO MONTHS and they're coming apart... and we can NOT return them. She wears them just to get up for us to help her transfer from wheel chair to the recliner and back. We also assist her to walk a little in the house with a hemi walker. She hardly uses them. I do NOT recommend this slipper. This is VERY disappointing.

I know these are great slippers from buying them in the past for my Dad. The problem is these are for a gift for a friend, and although the slippers look fine the box they are packed in is completely torn up & ratty looking. It looks like I bought them off a thrift store table or garage sale. Options are limited for finding a replacement by Christmas. Should have paid a bit more & got them from Zappos.

I didn't write a review until I ordered my second pair. Short supply last week. These slippers are not 'pretty' or 'dainty'. Theyare big, comfortable and warm. They are well built with a tough slip resistant sole and can protect my feet from bumps. My onlyslight problem is that they are a bit large in the width. It is my feet not the slipper. Used to wear a AAA shoe with a AAAA heel.Feet have now expanded at the toe area but my heel is very narrow. I would only wear these slippers in colder weather so I compensate the heel area by wearing a pair of thick socks and adjust the velcro closure accordingly. You will never find a pair of slippers that fit everyone's size.

I lovvvee these slippers! So what if they look a bit orthopedic ;) they are the most comfortable slippers and they won't make your feet sweat!! (which I why I never use to wear slippers till I found the old friends) Anyway, had bought some ~7 yrs ago and wore them to death! Finally the bottom gave out and I had to get some more. These really are like old friends! ;)

These were a gift for my mom, and she like her toes to breath. They are so plush and soft she loves them. We all tried them on and they are not the prettiest of shoes but they are divinely comfortable. A bit hit ! She loved them hasn't been off her feet since !
