Ergonomic, Natural Pointing, Focused Stream, Orange for Safety
This is designed after a real Walther handgun and even has a grip safety to prevent accidental discharge. It's so realistic that the orange color is necessary to distinguish it from the real thing, but I wish that the frame and grip were also orange; in holster it's indistinguishable from a real handgun. Pointing is more natural than with a canister-held pepper spray and the jet is more focused and lands accurately on target at a greater distance, but proper aiming is necessary. A practice canister filled with water and a target are included. It provides comfort to have an effective deterrent in situations when lethal force might be problematical. Highly recommended.

Best choice of pepper sprays
Pepper sprays are not the best self-defense, but this “gun” comes pretty close.Yes, it is legal. It is NOT a firearm. If you need it, do you really think you have enough time to make sure that you’re pointing it in the right direction and then in person or animal’s eyes? Do you want to get that close? The gun provides an instinctive aim and more accurate distance.I also purchased a holster that would hold the “gun” securely with a quick release. I also have one mounted on my E-Bike. Came in handy when being chased by two Rockweilers. It comes with a practice target and practice canister that does not contain irritants.

It fits!
Bought this refill canister for my Sabre Bear Mace Gun. Simple search of my gun's model and this is the canister that Amazon suggested. I compared the online pictures to the canister that came with mine, took a chance and guess what? They were right! It's an exact match and it fits! Hoping this will be one of those silly things I keep on my hiking pack and never use, but it's comforting to know there is a backup incase I ever do.Only issue I ran into was in ordering. I was initially denied shipping to California to my home in California. Unknown why (I didn't care enough to start searching US Shipping Laws or anything). I did plug in friends' addresses in both Oregon and Arizona to test it and the shipping was approved. Frustrated, I cancelled the order, exited out of Amazon and turned the whole thing off for the night. Next morning, I retried ordering with shipping to my home in California and the system said "Yes". No clue. Not sure what happened, but the canister arrived intact and on time in a couple of days.

Great. Just don't carry it in public
So this is a pepper gel. Not a pepper spray. That seems obvious enough from the title of the listing but bears repeating.Spray is more like fire in a general direction and you'll stop your attacker. In theory at least, some people may be resistant to this and/or on drugs and all you've done is made them spicier.Cons however? Short range and blow back in case you happen to get attacked on a windy day.Gel is a stream. A liquid. You have the range, but you don't have the fire in the general direction benefit. It is more effective/sticks to the attacker better but does need aiming. Sure you can while trying it out as it comes with a handy practice canister. But under duress. No clue and hope you never do.Now this thing loads quite easily. A breaktop where you load the cartridge. They are not bullet like pods obviously.Walther designed the grip and they do ergonomics like no other.Therein lies the problem. Imagine putting this in your pocket with a bit of it sticking out. You see the handle and a bit of the back. Looks like a gun.Fine, you tuck it in a bit more..but you enjoy wearing tight pants.. Cool. Glad you got the body for that. It will "print" like a gun.Good way to get in trouble with the law. This is probably fine for home use if bear spray isn't legal. Wouldn't carry it out.If saber made it less gun shaped and all orange it would be a winner. Like a better version of the Kimber pepper spray gun.

Exactly what I was looking for!
A real gun isn't always right tool for the job and not everyone wants to or can carry one, but it is the perfect design for a self-defense weapon. I've tried different pepper guns and this is the one I recommend for these reasons: The Kimber pepper gun is a good size, but the grip is too small and too smooth. It's not as natural of a grip. It feels like you're going to drop it at the worst possible time. The Mace brand (larger pepper gun) is great, but it is just too bulky. It would be good for carrying in a bag or anywhere off body, but if you need it right away - good luck! Also, you have to apply a lot of pressure to the trigger to get it to shoot any spray. This gun is the perfect size for EDC, it is easy to use, and the trigger/safety setup is perfect. I bought the IWB (non-Kydex) holster for the Kimber pepper gun when I purchased the Kimber. That holster fits this gun perfectly until someone makes a Kydex IWB holster for this model.

Very good unit! Handles very well.
Marketed by Umarex as the Walther PDP in Europe, I was waiting for a very long time for this to come stateside (if it ever would). Thankfully that day has finally come under license from Sabre.Very compact, has a decent stream (nothing too special here; just typical canister-type performance) and very much feels like the Walther design its based on. I recommend this for personal protection if you are used to firearm layouts and you want a relatively affordable alternative for whatever reason you may have. You certainly get a better grip and aim with it than most canister formats. Get the IWB leather holster by PH for this thing too if you plan to carry, it pairs really nicely and is rather comfortable.**Exercise EXTREME caution, however, as this very much looks like a real steel firearm once in a holster and on your person. Use your best judgment if you plan to carry it! Make sure you're not printing or do anything that could be considered brandishing it.*

Malfunctioned
I tried to use on an attacking stray dog and it didn't even spray. Even after serval attempts to remove and replace it
