I bought this as a Christmas gift for my partner. She had one of those silicone cardholders that stick to the back of a phone, which she loved. She was bummed when she had to say goodbye to it just before Christmas. This was the perfect opportunity to find something that could replace the convenience and slim profile she loved. I did a lot of searching and am so lucky I came across this glorious wallet. She loved it from the moment she opened it and she loves it even more now. The wallet fits everything you need so well. I was worried about the open concept, but this thing is sturdy. It keeps cards in place and fits everything she needs in it. The price point is fantastic. I would buy this over and over. And I ended up being the hero on Christmas!

So close to being the perfect minimalist card holder! The fabric Inside the sleeve where it is folded in and stitched together creates an awkward gap where no matter how you arrange your cards, it still remains. For the price and functionality, I’ll still use it as my daily card carrier until I find something else.

I absolutely adore this little wallet! I admit I was skeptical and a little taken aback when I saw just how small it was, but I'm able to put in 6 cards plus some cash and it feels really secure! I've only had it one day, so I haven't really tested it under normal daily activity. But when I got it and first put my cards in, I shook it all around and twirled around my finger and nothing fell out! The elastic is perfectly stretchy and accommodating. So hopefully that's a good sign. I wanted this wallet because I recently switched to a super small purse that I carry by hand; there's no body or shoulder strap. But the purse itself is tiny! It could really be just a really big wallet. Anyway, because of that downsize I had to downsize everything else I was carrying and my big, clunky cell phone wallet was the first to go! Now, with this cute Thread Wallet and my other essentials (having a small purse and wallet truly makes you think what's really necessary to take with you), everything fits in my cute little purse just great! Plus, I love that in the event I don't even want to carry my little purse , I could just grab the Thread Wallet and still be all set! I decided that I'm not going to attach my Thread Wallet to my keys or anything because other reviews I read said that piece of fabric on the key ring eventually tears and the wallet falls off. Not willing to take the risk. But overall I love the look, size, small footprint, and the cute design! Depending on how my first one holds up, I might buy some more. These wallets will hold 10+ credit cards, a drivers license, or any combinations of 5+ medical/insurance cards, and 5+ other membership cards in the center pocket, plus 10+ $ bills in the.side pockets. The elastic holds everything securely in a credit card-sized footprint that is less than 3/4" thick. The wallet securely fits in my front pocket. I feel that I have less chance of losing it or having it stolen. I also haven't had "wallet hip aches" with this wallet. I've been using this style wallet for almost two decades. My son gave me a German-made wallet similar to this one with leather and elastic. It finally wore out and I found these on Amazon. These are incredibly durable wallets that hold a lot of stuff in a very small footprint. There isn't any rfid protection but I've never had an issue without it. I recommend this product.

UPDATE 2: It’s approximately 4 years later, and I’m still using the same one. Still holding up well, still really like it. Gotta say, I think this is just about the best buy you can make if you want a minimalist wallet for cheap. ————- UPDATE: It’s 6 months later and honestly I’m surprised how well it’s holding up. No threads, still just as tight as day one. Good buy. ————- I love this thing. It looks nice and has a low profile, but that's not really what I love about it. You could know those things by looking at it. I love it because it's a minimalist wallet that isn't super expensive. Let's be real, it's elastic, it isn't going to last as long as a leather wallet no matter how good it is. But that's ok, because it doesn't cost $70 like a leather wallet, or like any of the rip-off minimal wallets that are currently fleecing EDC'ers with more money than sense. That said, it feels like as good of elastic as you could possibly wish for. It keeps a really secure grip on everything and I'm surprised at how little I worry about anything sliding out. This wallet is for people who really only have a handful of cards. The easy-access slots are easy, but the stuff in the middle is pretty hard to pull out. It's for stuff you have to carry but rarely use, not stuff you pull out every day. So if you have 4 different cards you use on the daily, give this one a pass. If you are as functionally minimalist as you are aesthetically minimalist, this is a good buy.

If you are looking for something extremely light weight to hold a few cards, this is the perfect option. Previously I had a phone case that held my Credit Card, Work Badge, and Drivers license. Aside from that, I do not carry anything else that would traditionally go in a wallet (Cash, Member Cards, Pictures, Receipts, etc.). I was looking for a slim, lightweight wallet, and knew I didn't want any more material than necessary. I am so happy I kept searching as I came across this option and it has been absolutely perfect! True to its description, it is a slim elastic band that stretches to hold your cards tight and secure. I have three cards and I have no concerns of them slipping our or getting lost. The best part is that I do not feel like I have a bulky wallet sitting in my back pocket. Two points to be aware of - First, the picture makes it look like there is a little pocket at the front of the wallet. It is important to note that this goes all the way through (i.e. not stitched at the bottom). It is still tight as your cards will apply pressure, however if you were planning to put something small in there like a ring or guitar pick it could fall out. Second - For an even more minimal feel, you can remove the lanyard ring and turn the wallet inside out to trim back the excess fabric. This is likely a manufacturing limitation, but an easy DIY fix.
