Yves, Veggie Bologna Deli Slices, 5.5 Ounce

Yves makes good plant-based deli slices, but their packaging makes the product unusable. This company has taken the throne for worst packaging away from Tofurkey. They do what Tofurkey does, but somehow do it even worse. I am so disappointed that someone came along to challenge Tofurkey only to make the worst part of Tofurkey (the packaging) even worse. Amazing. Maybe someday they will make a package that can be opened. I doubt it, though.

If you are a vegetarian or vegan but (perhaps secretly) long for the taste of bologna, this product fits the bill. The ingredients seem a bit unhealthy, so I wouldn't recommend it on a daily basis, but for a treat once in awhile, it's great. I had to order this case and freeze the packets because it's not carried in my local grocery stores anymore.

Good vegetarian alternative. Have had trouble finding in local stores, so it was nice to get them online. I freeze them, and they are the same texture, etc. when thawed.

Expensive but good

I LOVE this product as does everyone that loves the taste of bologna (baloney) yet doesn't want the carcinogens, fat, etc. But, but, but...here is the problem, for me anyway. It was so readily available in my neighborhood store and, to ensure that I had enough for the week, I would buy 3-4 packages/week. Then, one day, Yves was no longer available!!! Seriously?! No one was carrying it?! Now what?! In addirtion, my Grandson, 8yrs, LOVES it also and has been eating Yves Deli Bologna since he was 3yrs old! Now he is bummed too! Come to find out that many of the stores, in San Francisco, are not carrying it because it got to 'costly' for them. That said, 'come on, Yves!' Anyway you can revisit the cost/price so that our stores can carry it again? Please, take into consieration all of us out here, in consumer world that want to eat right and take of ourselves, count on great tasting food(s) and Yves Veggie Cuisine - Meatless Deli Bologna is, bar none, one of the top 5. Counting on you! Fingers crossed!

These taste just like the real thing! I was skeptical as I was taking it out of the package because of the slippery texture. The texture was perfect when I took a bite though. I highly recommend these. You can't beat 4 slices with: Calories-80g, Saturated Fat-0g, Cholestrol-0g, Total Carb-4g, Sugar <1g, Protein-14g
