I’m not the best person to judge this paper, as I have not learned about the differences in Chinese rice paper, and the best techniques for each grade of paper. I used this paper on a fun project and it held up nice for the task. My use was unconventional as I was painting petal shapes of this paper to create flowers. The paper worked perfectly for that use. I painted them with liquid watercolor. I mixed colors right on the paper and sprayed with water and the paper held up nicely. The flowers looked beautiful!

This rice paper is smelly and it has a very unpleasant texture. I wanted to use it for printing with my gelli plate . Rather disappointing.

While this rice paper performs well for art projects such as gyotoku (fish printing), the paper had to be carefully ironed to remove the 2 fold marks from being folded for shipping. Otherwise, the texture and quality are very good.

I really like this paper. It’s great for collage. It is fibrous but dissolves into your work.

I am new to Chinese Brush Painting. I previously bought the raw paper and had trouble controlling my paints and ink because they would "smear" and bleed a lot. This was not what I wanted for most of my paintings even though the raw paper worked perfect for my painted chicks. Overall, this semi-sized paper is much better. I can control my inks better. I divided the paper into thirds to get more use out of them. I prefer smaller paintings. You get lots of paper for the price. I would recommend this paper to a beginner. But to someone more advance, I'd recommend purchasing from either Blue Heron Arts or Oriental Art Supply. Sure its pricier on the other websites, but there is more variety of paper to choose from.
