Affordable Quality
An excellent pair of affordable, high-quality headphones. The noise isolation feature works wonders in my noisy house, and the audio fidelity is the best I've ever experienced.

Work amazing at this price
Makes a significant reduction in background noise like when inside an airplace, the noise of dryers, furnaces, and other air/wind/whooshing sounds.Amazing they work at all at this price point, but they actually work remarkably well. Not as effective with sounds like lawnmower engines, intermittent noises.Very good on batteries. I've had them on repeatedly for 12 hours at a time without issue and without changing the batteries.Sound quality with noise cancelling / internal amplifier off is a a bit muted, like there's a thin sheet over the sound. With the power on, the sound opens up a lot, separation is improved, and bass deepens and sharpens up.There's a slight hiss with the noise cancelling on.Cups a a bit small for larger ears, but are on-ear as described. They're wearable for a full day considering the alternative of paying many times more for alternatives, or being hammered with background noise. They do make my ears warm when worn for more than about an hour.Only real complaint is the weak power switch on the bottom of the left ear piece. It sometimes takes a bit of on-off switching or wiggling to get the power on, but it keeps working even with almost daily use.

Poor Value: Not Durable and Weird Stereo.
I wear headphones for several hours a day at work (thanks to low cubicle walls and small offices) and these just didn't hold up. After less than 6 months, I can't get any audio in the right ear when the noise cancellation (n/c) is turned off. My last pair of headphones (JVC-HAN250) lasted 18 months but these didn't make it to 6 months. The n/c is pretty good, but even when both channels did work the stereo quality was weird: stereo separation was fine with n/c off, but once n/c was turned on the channels blend together. It's okay for non-stereo audio like white noise (which I use a lot at work) but only fair for music. And a friend of mine has a binaural podcast, and I couldn't listen to that with these headphones with n/c on because this stereo channel blending ruins some of the binaural effect. But this is why I can still listen to non-stereo audio with n/c on even though the the right channel isn't working - some of the left ear's sound is going into the right channel with the n/c on.Finally, these headphones don't work very well with my phone (a Samsung Galaxy S4) as an music player - the sound is clipped with crackly/static when things get loud. This is a known issue with the S4 and low impedance headsets like this one. My workaround for this problem is to use an extension cable on the headphones; I guess that adds more impedance. It doesn't totally fix the problem, but there is much less static and is tolerable for short durations.Summary: These headphones are probably fine for light-duty use - say, an occasional airplane trip - with good n/c and okay sound quality if you don't mind the stereo channels blended together a bit. For that, these are a reasonable value for the price. For heavier duty use or if you want better sound quality, spend a few dollars more and buy something else.

Three Stars
They don't cancel all noise

Almost as good as Bose, way cheaper
These are great. I had a chance to compare these to Bose noise-cancelling headphones on a very long international flight. While the Bose are definitely superior, you only notice that you're missing a little extra noise-cancelling once you put the Bose on. To try to quantify, they're about 85% as good at noise cancelling (at 20% of the price!). They also have nice features vs the Bose, such as being able to listen to music without Batteries (although Batteries are required for the noise-cancelling part). Finally, they're more adjustable than the Bose. My wife always complained that the Bose were too big for her head, even on the smallest setting; these, however, fit her perfectly.

The sound is more annoying than the outside noise
These headphones do a fair job of keeping out surrounding noise, but after using them 4 times they developed a very loud scratchy sound when using the quiet setting. The sound is more annoying than the outside noise. I can only use them if the battery is not turned on.

Not the best, but good for the price
Not the best, but good for the price. Blocks noise, especially low frequencies, but not voices, so not so good for concentrating in quiet.

Great!
Having active noise canceling headphones on an airplane is a miracle. Buy a pair and save your ears. I used to have the movie volume turned to maximum to hear it over the jet engines and now it's about half way. Miracle, miracle, miracle. Oh, they do not cancel the noise of a baby screaming.

What a difference it makes when flying
We bought them because we had a long flight to make. They cut out most of the engine drone and we arrived better rested. The only drawbacks were that we found the exact model for a cheaper price elsewhere and that the ear cushion pinched me a bit because of my long ears. My husband's set was a good fit.

Bad connection line.
The one I got has a very annoying problem --- The connection line does not fit very well. Every time I use it I had to twist a lot of time to make both the left and the right having sound. It is surprising that for something worth $100 to have this kind of problem.
