The strap is well made with soft leather, chrome hardware and a velcro wrap closure that tightly secures the strap also the wrist strap itself is generous and roomy. I bought this for my new Cold Steel Walkabout Walking Stick which is thicker then a regular cane and it fits very nicely as you can see in the photos.
