From heel to tip it's 8.1875" long and from spine to blade it's 2.25" at it's tallest and tapers to 1.75" at the heel.

Q: Should i get the 8 or the 12?

Hi, David thank you for your question. Choosing the knife size is similar to choosing the type of knife. It really depends on the purpose and usage. If you will be using it for home use I would suggest the Shogun Series 8" the Crixus Chef Knife and there is the weight difference also to consider. But if you will be using it professionally I would suggest the 12" considering the length and the added weight for easy slicing.

NIce, but delicate

Very good knife, sharp, looks great. just it is very delicate knife and easily get dented/nicked and scratched. I used it few times and it is already scratched and have dent in the blade due hitting a bone, I expect more durability from highly hyped knife. Excellent for slicing meat.
