I have been paying $83.00/mo. For soft water for years with a company. In the past 2 years I complained to my husband that the soft water is not working. He said he didn’t notice if it was or not. I am contacting my soft water company in the morning to cancel all future orders and having the tank removed. They were obviously lying about providing soft water with their system.

These test strips work great. We have a water filtration system and I was curious if it was working. We tested the filtered water and the unfiltered and the unfiltered showed hard water whereas the filtered was 0.

These are hard to find. I was glad I could get them. Works perfect.

The color for the soft water does appear green, but when I tested water at a source I know to be hard water the test strip started out kind of brownish but then after a few minutes it turned more toward the green color. The color chart on the tube shows six colors - from soft to hard. My experience has been that I really only get two colors; green - the color of grass - for soft and an olive brownish green for hard. Maybe the point is to be sure to read the test strip right away.Also, previous test strips I have used have been individually wrapped so moisture cannot tamper with the results. These come unwrapped in the tube.
